With all due respect, this does not answer any real questions.

First, in the times of the RAMA a parent would privately hire a melamed and pay him directly. It doesn't work that way today. If you have a class of 25 children and each child is paying $10,000 for tuition, the teacher is NOT getting paid $250K per year. Yeshivos operate on a commercial scale. Only a fraction of tuition a parent pays actually goes to the teachers. The rest goes to maintenance, food, administration etc. Essentially if we are going strictly by the RAMA, we should only be paying 1/5 of the tuition which is what the teacher gets paid.
Who is supposed to be paying for the mortgage/rent?? Utilities? Taxes? Insurance? Maintenance? Supplies? Etc etc etc Everything- from the copies to the printer to the cleaning staff and supplies cost $$$.
Mosdos struggle in the best of times, how are they supposed to manage now? Tuition does not cover the cost of what it takes to get your child through the year - A fact I hear from many administrators. -(Feel free to verify for yourself)
Schools are a non-profit entity and that is because most work on a loss! They do it with mesiras nefesh for your children and mine and e/o else's.
I don't know what the solution is but I'm just showing that there's another side and it is a very complicated situation.
For now, I am continuing with my tuition payments.

Had a "minyan" at a bris this morning. Three men on one porch. 25 feet away, another three men on another porch. One man in one yard and another in another yard. Mohel and father in the house with the window open. Was very odd, but we all said amen to the brachos.
odd times call for odd measures

I thought there were just adding it to the end of your term? So if you had 60 payments left for example, it would get extended to 63 payments
I'm basing it off info I got from my bank. Perhaps it depends if its backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
As always, call your bank for the most accurate info

A relative showed me a video of an outdoor bar mitzvah yesterday (maybe 2 days ago? My inner clock is completely wonky) near 7th street/park area. It got shut down by the cops, but I didn't see it in the news. From what I saw it was absolutely against the rules, and very unsafe. Some people are just sick in the head and we can't make excuses for everyone.
Police said they were called to a home where 40 to 50 guests were gathered on the front lawn and in the street for a bar mitzvah, the celebration that mark's a Jewish boy's coming of age. E.S., 37, and M.S. 34, were charged with five counts of child endangerment.

On Monday, two other men were also arrested for hosting another large gathering in Lakewood. At approximately 8:30 a.m., Lakewood Township Police were called to Bais Horraah on Madison Ave. for a report of a large gathering of people. Responding officers found approximately 35 people inside the building.

After several unsuccessful attempts by the officers to clear the building, the crowd was eventually dispersed. The building houses a Jewish school along with a banquet facility. [FOX5]

Is there any reason not to take advantage of the 90 day hold for NY mortgage payments? I can thankfully make the payment this month but wondering what downside there would be to just postponing it to the end of the term? Seems like a free 90 day loan but I'm sure I'm missing something. I have Santander if that makes any difference
You will have to divide your 3 payments over the following 6 months- in addition to your regular mortgage payments. For some that works, for others it isn't that enticing.

No, in my city.
Well, then I'm glad I have groceries and pharmacies in my city

For those who are young and had a fever for around 2-3 days, did your cough get worse afterwards? How long until you started to see improvement in your cough and eventually for it to go away?
No 1 size fits all to this question

Does Amex return cover the cost of shipping the item back to the merchant? I bought a small power adapter that wasn't compatible with the device I needed it for. Return shipping will basically eat up the refund of the item.
Which card to you have?

Okay ladies and gents, I don't want to have to babysit this thread and its posters. Please refrain from ad hominem attacks, and don't name individuals or communities.

Thank you.

Rule one in stock market investing:

If it is going to go down then it is already there.
Yeh, but that makes no sense when some are expecting this to go on for 6,12 or even 18 months.

Boy aged 4: "Dad, I've decided to get married."
Dad: "Wonderful! Do you have a girl in mind?"
Boy: "Yes...grandma! She said she loves me, I love her, too...and she's the best cook and storyteller in the whole world!!!"
Dad: "That's nice, but we have a small problem there..."
Boy: "What problem?"
Dad: " She happens to be my mother. How can you marry my mother??"
Boy : Why not?! You married mine!!!"
