On The Road / Re: hyatt status match

I just got status matched from the Hilton!    The denied me a few times, but then I asked for it to be forwarded to a supervisor, and it worked!

 Greetings from Gold Passport!
On behalf of Hyatt Gold Passport®, I am pleased to inform you that your
account has been enrolled in our 60 day Trial Diamond offer.
As a member of our most elite tier, you will be instantly recognized as
one of our most valued guests at any Hyatt worldwide.
Please allow 24 - 72 hours for your status to reflect in the Gold
Passport system.

Did you call or SM?
SM - if that wouldn't have worked I would have tried calling again, but it's hard impersonating a woman's voice   :)

I got my 2nd Amex Platinum 6 weeks ago and they gave me 50K.  After calling numerous times, they finally agreed to give me an additional 50K on 6/20, and sure enough, I sent an SM and they gave me the 50K today!
Not only that - they only gave my wife 10K on her Gold & refused multiple times to even go to 25K.   I decided to try again today & they gave her the 75K!
The moral is - don't stop trying!   :)

hes talking about the ge application not the amex benefits
I did a quick Google search and this is what I found...
"Also during the interview, you'll need to show proof of residence. You need not be a U.S. resident to qualify, and they're fairly flexible about how to prove residency. Often, a utility bill in your name is the best option. In my case, my foreign ID card and electric bill were fine.

A friend of mine who is learning/living in israel is not sure if he should put his israeli address on the application or his american address on (which is where he gets his bank and cc statements) even though for the last few years his primary address is israel.

what do you guys think? is there anything to lose by putting his israeli address on even though his licence has an american address? and if he uses his israeli address what should be his proof of address, his water bill which is in hebrew?
If you go to the AMEX website you will see in the fine print below that almost all of the Membership Rewards will only apply if you are a U.S. Resident.

very cute - how did you do that?
Never mind - just figured it out by looking at the url - nice though   :)

61 days from application or cancelation
From the day I cancelled the first one - until I applied for the second one

I waited 61 days between Platinum cards and they were approved immediately - both for me and my wife.   I didn't try getting two at a time...

Will this work even if you're not solicited?

It's excellent if you were able to get 100,000 matching points - a free $1,000 in travel expenses!
Can't wait to get this again  :)
