Probably Glatt too  :)

This "prestige" benefit normally costs $399!
The disadvantage of course is that you are explictly allowing them to check the validity of your AMEX Platinum card, so they probably will do that, and therefore you cannot use a cancelled card.

It actually works!    I split my ELAL bill into two parts - charging $1,000 on the Cap1 card.   It posted today and I was able to request the $1,000 credit - yay!

Credit Cards / Re: amex plat 50,000 bonus mile offer expiration date

I've gone thru the forum and am still a bit confused as to the best way to order AA gift cards and get a quick credit.   Should I order two $50 cards in one purchase on one day, and then another two the next day, or do it in separate purchases two per day, or what?
Also, I assume I should be getting the online GC as opposed to the plastic one - to save on shipping - correct?

they update my account how do i submit for the 100k points
You need to wait for an email from them with your unique passcode

Deals/Deal Requests / Re: $75 for First Flight Lesson! ($150 Value)

Did they let u take off and land the first lesson? How much did u pay per lesson?
I am talking about 20 years ago, and it was $50 per hour of flight - who knows what it is now...
On my first flight, the instructor let me take the controls when in the air, and it was worth every penny!   Subsequent flights included takeoffs & landings.   The most fun was "stalls", where you try to recover from the lack of lift - and when you master that you are a real pilot!
My best advice is to try it once, and decide for yourself if it's worth continuing.
I was certified to fly solo, but then made a big mistake - I told my wife   :)

Has anyone ever taken a flight lesson, and reccomend it? It looks so cool! (Maybe for Chol Hamoed)
I was a student pilot many years ago, and took flying lessons out of Teterboro airport in NJ.   It really was an amazing (but expensive) experience!

In Catskills? Who is thinking of the summer already?
Chol Hamoed Pesach...

You're shopping by price? Core i3 good for you? Any brands you prefer (Acer//HP/Dell/Lenovo)? Any of those brands you won't buy?
Not staying away from any particular brands - it's needed for basic computing and online college courses.

And anyone know if I can use MR transfers into DL to qualify as "credit card earning points".
My AA miles statement had a 75K Bonus listed on it (as that was the only statement I had that had more than 100K miles) and they gave me the full 100K matching points!

You're a bit late. As I often say, the better the deal, the sooner it's gone (the item sells out and/or the price goes up).
I know  :)   but my son decided tonight that he wants one - will wait to grab the next deal
