Thanks to all who have posted with great info.

Looking for advice:  We'll be in San Jose for Shabbos and Friday is a question mark in our itinerary.  (My original plan was Poas Volcano but seems not like a sure thing.)  I've heard the shul is very interesting, but not sure our teens would agree.  There are a bunch of tour operators that go to La Paz Waterfall and Coffee Estate, those may be too long and anyway you're paying for breakfast and lunch which is a waste.  Any recommendations?  Willing to pay for a private guide with transport if anyone has recommendations in that direction.

Has anyone booked at Palm Springs through Craigslist?

I found a number of listings that are significantly lower than VRBO etc.  I called one that is listed by vacationpalmsprings.com and also on Craigslist.  There are many listings between the two that are duplicates and it seems to me that a lot of the Craigslist ones are scams.  Anyone have experience?  TIA

Dates are slightly flexible, looking for a one month rental.  Located in Long Island, willing to pick up somewhere local.  I remember someone once telling me Hertz had monthly rates around $650 but couldn't find anything.  Thanks.
