General Discussion / Sold Miles, Buyer wants ID to unlock account
« on: September 10, 2013, 09:48:40 PM »
Sold miles, agent called to say his account was locked.  Wants a photo ID to prove we authorized the transfer of miles.  Will it hurt my SPG account?  Anything to worry about or do I give him the ID?

Zishe's bakery moved into the store, although I think Shlomy's has already taken Zishe's down.
Sorry but nothing beats Zishes.

Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: NYC Hotels Master Thread

Looking to go to the Citi for one night.  The Andaz is not an option as I don't have the points for it.  Should we stay in Manhattan or head over to Jersey and stay in the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor?  Whats the next best option after the Andaz?

Gluxe has great sun shade, reclines, folds nicely, and has great customer service.  Great extra feature is the extra padding that comes out and washes real nicely.  Leave mine in car and use all the time.

General Discussion / Re: Pac and Play VS Porta Crib: Which Way To Go?
« on: February 25, 2013, 09:52:24 PM »
Everyone I spoke to said the porta crib they bought was junk. I was in junvinelle planet today, and they showed me a $200 "commercial model" (it looked a little sturdier, had big wheels).
Which model did you buy?
Where you happy with it?
Bought one in Piccolino, used it for a few months for baby, when she outgrew it I moved it to guest room.  Have been using it for two years there, am very happy with it.  Has 2 levels and came in 2-3 colors.  Was def. under $200 but can't remember exact price.

Think most people don't know much about Metzitza B'peh other than what they hear from the Media.  Wonder if any bother to ask their LOR what they should do.

Up In The Air / Re: US Air Customer Service
« on: January 28, 2013, 11:03:02 AM »
Airlines do not usually compensate you for having to sit next to a large man. The best way to get any compensation is to go over to the purser while on board or to the check in counter and inform them of the situation.Keep in mind that you should be sensitive as it is a delicate situation. The crew will usually try to find you empty seats or I have heard of the airline issuing bonus award miles.
I understand that this is a sensitive issue thats why we couldn't tell the flight attendants we were having an issue, as it would've been said over the guys head.  The flight was a pretty full flight, so I didnt think they would have any other seats for us.  I couldn't tell them at the check in counter as I didn't know I would have this problem.

Paid for two seats, (we were two travelers) window and middle.  Had to share middle seat with guy in aisle seat.

Was also trying to get compensation for the seat we had to share with the other gentleman.  Guess I will just dispute that as well.

They won't actually listen to me on the phone, they will only take complaints via e-mail.
