I asked this on the Eilat thread but it's really a question for Israel in general. Do hotels count little kids that don't need beds as people in terms of charging more? We have 2 little kids and wrote that we are 2 people. Would we get charged extra for the kids? Should I not bring them to checkin?

Ticket booth is right inside shaar yaffo. There is the one over the Arab quarter and one over the Jewish quarter. The south one is safer.
I think this is the number 02-627-7550
Thank you!

Herods Palace or Hilton Sheba Eilat for one night stay with 2 kids? The Hilton is 175 vs 222 for Herods. Also do they care if I write that we are 2 people when with the kids we are 4? They are ages 2 and an infant..

The ramparts walk - can anyone give me the rundown? Worthwhile? Which parts are safe? Exactly where the ticket booth is..

Thank you!

Why is it a decision, just don't pay.
Only reason to pay is that at 100 NS it's really not that much and I don't want to risk it going to collections and it somehow affecting my credit. The risk in miniscule but again it's not a lot of money.

I ended up parking by a friend who has a spot so it worked out. So far I did get one ticket for 100 NS so I will have to decide if it's worth paying.

What do people do here about Yom Tov Sheini? I have no where to park other than on the street and being in Rechavia I have a good chance of getting ticket....

For one thing you can hover your mouse over the folder in the folder pane in library view
Also right click > show in Explorer and it'll open the folder for you.
Thank you! Both excellent tips. The first tip is a great way to keep organized when viewing a lot of photos and matching them up with folders. The explore method is just perfect for quickly finding the location of my photos. Problem solved and the folder was located so thank you very much.

I have a batch of photos in Lightroom and I am not sure which location on my computer or hard drive is hosting the originals. They are not currently missing as I am able to see and edit them properly in LR I just can't figure out where they are being held. How can I determine that?

Nice write up. I love the way you changed around the whole trip! I just did it in coach both ways - after all that was the whole glitch! Did you take that picture of the Palm Jumeirah?

On The Road / Re: Prepaying Car rental with Credit Card in a different name

Hertz and sixt said its ok for the cc not to match name on rental? Better double check that. I never heard of that being ok
Hertz and Sixt allowed me to prepay however they say the name that we prepay with has to match. It's different then showing up to the rental counter with a card  thats not in my name.

I'll give them my own credit card at the counter to hold against damages however why would they care at the counter which card prepaid for the rental which is in my name.

On The Road / Prepaying Car rental with Credit Card in a different name
« on: September 04, 2015, 12:09:59 PM »
I need to rent a car in Israel (TLV airport) for 3 weeks over Sukkos this year. I want to prepay the whole rental, including insurance, beforehand so that I can be easily reimbursed for the rental. The issue is it's from a business card that's not in my name and all the companies I looked at said the name on the credit card must match the drivers name (even though we are prepaying).

Hertz and Sixt, both have comparable rates so if one would be better for this than the other I can go with either one.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!
