Deals/Deal Requests / Re: Decent Cordless Phone Deal

I hate Uniden.... The screen flickers, I have a problem that is sometimes says "Welcome, please wait..." and I cant use it...

This happened with two phones of mine, first was a sunrocket, now the 5ghz one I bought...

I suspect it might be caused by the dsl line I use (thats something they implied when I called them...

Anyone else experience this?
it could also very well be that you get bad electricity in afghanistan  see if you can get a surge protector or something like that to stabilize the electricity

Guys, thanks for all the wonderful advice. As the OP I should update y'all. I got a 17.5k mile aa ticket, staying at the airport 4points (using starpoints).

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get to see any of the great places you guys suggested...

I used to shop at the Garage, but it seemed that their 'name brands', although cheaper. were of lesser quality than 'name brands' from other stores.

Just sayin.
are you saying theyre fake?

Up In The Air / Re: LANPASS miles Expire?
« on: June 04, 2008, 02:42:24 PM »
Hey all, I have 50k lanpass miles, and I was just wondering, do they expire?

I don't need them in the near future, and being that I can't transfer them back to starpoints, I'm kinda stuck.

Thanks in advance.
if you want i might need lanpass miles if i can get a mileage ticket

Actually, I live in Toronto, and have been to doesn't even beat Abigail's!!!!...and Abigail's is cheaper!!
i married a girl from toronto and been there numerous times thats number one.  number two, are you saying that abigails is better than prime grill or le marais?     however to be fair ive recently been ordering off the menu.  try to speak to the chef, Steve, and ask him to make you a steak with veal jus and marsella (with homemade pasta with turkey bacon on the side) hands down the best kosher steak. also the sushi rocks.

As a moderator on other forums, I must admit that it seriously irks me to see people multi-post on message boards.
In other words, take one complete post, and seperate it so that you put each

Its a technique known to get higher post countings for reputability.
But, like thread bumping, its a major annoyance to regular forum goers, cluttering up the threads and making searches less helpful. In the end, it reduces the overall effectiveness of the forum and I've seen BB's die because nothing was done to stop this, and the regulars stopped coming.

I would like to vote that the mods on this forum put an end to such behavior by policing the threads!
Anyone who posts one-after-the-other in threads that could have been combined or modified, should be on probation.
Or, make a rule that you can't post after yourself in the same thread for a certain amount of time if you guys are feeling up to modifying some of the PHP code that runs this server.

Just some ideas. No offense, Yitzter, but that's really annoying!!

whats thread bumping?

Thats because they are granfathered in from the old policy but to open up a corparate account today that should not have an underage fee it has to be direct billing
maybe, but when i opened up an account for my fathers company a few years back EVERYBODY told me that it has to do be direct billing  but i got it without so i guess YMMV

There is a great chocolate shop on Bathhurst (of course). I don't remember what its called but it is worth the trip. just for that. Second the Customs agents will think it is strange if you don't have a gift.
its called Chocolate Charm but be prepared to pay around $4 PER truffle (its worth it to try a few theyre REALLY good)
