try Chayat 03 570 5102 (from america 011 972 3 570 5102) theyll make you a res w/ avis (any location) with the "chareidi" rate (no charge for shabbos) if you have a tourist visa you dont pay tax and only a WORLD Mastercard (such as the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Mastercard - make sure it says world on the card) covers insurance so you dont have to buy it from the rental agency

its also worthwhile to note that when i was in sd around purim time i went to tijuana and it took me around 3 hours to get back to the states with all the traffic (also kahlua is no longer kosher there!) in case you were planning on going

you dont need any promos  i recommend doing what i did  i signed up for the card (albeit for a 100k mr bonus offer) but maintain the $450 annual fee bec it costs a flat $175 for an additional 3 cardholders so 450 + 175 / 4 = arond 160 per person and found 3 people who i trust not to spend money on the card but only for status purposes willing to spend 160 for a card that gives automatic spg gold, and access to many lounges including aa admirals club (which is 300/year w/o plat card) among other benefits   make sure you call them to make sure the numbers are still right though

General Discussion / Dell Order Cancelled
« on: May 29, 2008, 06:25:26 PM »
i ordered a new laptop from dell and applied a lot of coupons so that i basically got it for about 50 percent off  and got my conf email. when i didnt receive it by the estimated arrival date i called them only to be told that they cancelled my order bec i put on too many coupons . they never emailed me or called me they simply cancelled it w/o warning  is there anyhing i can do to somehow force them to comlete my order? is there anything legally binding them once they send me a confirmation nemail is that somehow similar to the signing of a contract? any info would be of help. (if you need more details about the order id be more than happy to provide them. thanx
