i applied for the starwoods card and got the promotion for 45000 points for spending 4500.00 i spent the money but the bonus never came. do i need to call for it?

hi. does anybody know when they count the 3 months to spend on the platinum amex? if i got the card on 8/29, but started spending on 9/5 when are the 3 months up? also does anybody know what to do to get the extra 75k for the platinum amex?
