Goods For Sale/Trade / Re: Hyatt Awards And Upgrades Master Thread
« on: February 19, 2014, 09:54:58 AM »
Anyone want to do me a big favor (could be a good way to extend your year to use free Hyatt nights)?

I just signed up and received a Hyatt card and will hopefully have the 2 free nights in the next few weeks. I would like to use the free nights in 2 weeks and doubt that I will be credited that quickly (unless anyone thinks otherwise).

Would anyone be willing to let me use their free nights and I will get them back to you as soon as they are credited to my account?

Is there a local bus that goes to Penn?

I am sure there is, but I can't vouch for their safety.  I don't know many people who take local buses other than the Bais Yaakov girls :)  The Marc Train (behind the Reisterstown Road Plaza) stops at Penn and you would probably need to transfer to another train to get to BWI (also not the safest). If you are ok with public transportation I would recommend the Light Rail which has a stop in Mount Washington (1501 Smith Avenue  Baltimore,MD 21209).

Whats the cheapest way to get to bwi from park hights area?

You could try Light Rail, which may be annoying if you have luggage.

Well, the area by Penn station is worse...

They're both pretty bad. I prefer Bolt @ Penn Station because its a lot closer/ more convenient, but to each their own :)

General Discussion / Re: Looking for Recommendations for GRE review

Are you looking for a course or specific books?  When I took the GRE's I went to the library and took out every GRE book they had (I can't say I was particularly impressed with one style over the other, although I did like Baron's word list) and hired a tutor for the math part to brush up on my skills. If you are looking for a course, Manhattan GRE was highly recommended to me by many people.

yes -
Was looking for the megabus drop-off at White Marsh and then to taker the Greyhound for the next part.

Looks like a taxi is $42, so that would be similar to service.
In general, is there a frum Baltimore website for transportation, food, minyanim?
(or do we all turn to DDF?)

AFAIK there is no comprehensive website, but feel free to ask any questions.
Baltimorejewishlife.com has a great listing for minyanim.
You can check out the Star-k link I posted above for restaurants.
If you need to get downtown (and haven't booked yet), Boltbus might be a better option for you (their stop is downtown).

Did you try calling Priceline 1800-259-2091 dial 3 and then 1 and ask for the contract receipt.
they were able to find it by my name and phone number I put in to the res.

You can also try the lve chat option on priceline.com

Has anybody been to the four points on collins recently, how bad are the rooms?

I was there a few weeks ago.  The rooms weren't super updated, but I thought they were fine and thought the hotel was a pretty good value (10k starwood points or $130 when I stayed there) compared with other hotels in the area.  The hotel is definitely not 4 star, but IMO a decent value.
