Tisha bav appropriate

@NormEisen: I never imagined I would see this:

A US ambassador paying tribute to Nazi German fighters & occupiers. Including SS

I donít care if theyíre dead or alive, & I donít care how long itís been

Wish I could visit graves of my family the SS killed but I canít: they were incinerated. Shared via TweetCaster

   Anyone that holds different?
many allow smoking on fast days, including Tisha BíAv (see e.g. shuít Har HaKarem siman 19). The Chafetz Chaim (Mishna Berrura 556:sif katan #8) strongly disagrees and disallows smoking on any taanis, especially Tisha Bíav by pain of excommunication! Others are lenient (see Yabia Omer 1:33 who allows one to be meikel in private).

Is there such an halacha that one can't smoke before chatzos?
Yes. Brought in MB. IIRC chatzos is 'if needed' as well

Completely false
+1

None of the HCQ advocates I know are anti-vax.
The basis for my comment s an article that stated that It was wildly popularized online in anti vax circles and groups and it spread from there. I have not substantiated myself, but it made sense to me based on the anti establishment tendencies of both groups

ETA: just came across this. Anecdotal Case in point

My four cents -
1) anyone who goes off the rails like that shouldn't be listened to. There's clear issues. Sentence by sentence her speech made no sense.
2) HCQ advocates run in the same circles as anti vaxxers.
3) a treatment doesn't preclude the need for a vaccine at all. So no reason for conspiracy theories.
4) plenty of dubious stuff about zelenko that makes a rational person doubt the veracity of what he says on his say so

40-60% and 70% figures sound right. IMHO they all don't need hand holding.
Child #4 (second oldest) hopefully will be financially responsible soon. It isn't the DR plan but the CV plan.  :)
All don't or don't all?

I always pay as late as possible.
0% cards I would pay minimum each month until BT 0% runs out.

During the BT frenzy I had over 200k @ 4.5-5% just sitting there.
I have 4 kids.
1 I would say do it and even more if you can.
2 others I would say do it and I would watch them
The other one H*LL NO!!!  :)
The reason you don't get DR, is because you're a responsible and smart person who doesn't play stupid and doesn't borrow money unless they are certain they can pay back.
You are an exception to the rule, which is why 40-60% of American I have revolving credit card debt, and 70% have nothing in savings put away.
All those people need hand holding, motivation, and should not have debt at all, like child #4. DR helps them, because you're not their dad.

This is silly. OP was just saying that people should live within their means and he gives a good framework for that.
For the more sophisticated people, you can ignore the mortgage advice.
For those confident they'll never carry a balance they can ignore the credit card advice. (one of the most responsible people I know had one bad month that ended up being a 60k credit card debt).
For those who sell insurance, they can tell everyone to ignore the life insurance advice.
For those who think he's a conman, don't have a beer with him.
But the hashkafa and attitude toward money in general is very sound, and the mehalech helps a lot of people to can't get themselves out of debt.

What platform did you use to sell when the lease was up? I am in a similar scenario, at end of a lease and would like to try that.
Thanks
Last two cars (both in 2019) vroom.
One was an odyssey, one a charger
Previously was Carmax, but they've been very low lately.
Generally sell about two years in, not waiting for 36 months, one of the many reasons I didn't put down a down payment
