I'm not sure what you're asking now.

You asked if there's a way to use FreeVoipDeal without being connected to the internet, so I posted a screenshot of how it's done, with a local access number.

The same goes for voipsmash.com (they are all various brands of the same company - Dellmont)

Here's the screenshot from voipsmash.com

If you're NOT calling Israeli cellphones, depending on your usage, FreeVoipDeal might work out better, as they include FREE minutes to Israel (I think up to 200 per day) for 90 days with every reload.

There are access numbers that can be used from various countries (and states).
anything specific you are referring to?

I'm trying to determine for calling to IL from US from home or cell phone(no internet) if anybody can beat these rates found here: https://www.voipsmash.com/about

What about an old fashioned calling card?

Also I have internet access at a nearby computer lab but that does not really help for international calling from home?

also I have internet access at a computer lab near my house but I don't think that means anything in terms of getting a lower rate for home based calling plans?

It's a problem. Many dont recognize the negative impact of internet at home - or the negative influences it has in their own lives.

The antennas might be a giveaway that it runs on cell phone networks.

I would recommend going down to Walmart and reading the boxes for all the different options.  (These products seem to be poorly listed online.)

They may not write it on the package but some of these might be unlocked and Verizon has an unlisted plan for these but you gotta find a Verizon rep who knows what to do.

Do you know anyone that uses this? How is the quality of calls?

FreeVoipDeal.com gives you 90 days of "free" calling to Israeli landlines with every reload.

H2O wireless includes unlimited calls to Israeli landlines and wireless numbers (possibly only 10 wireless numbers) with their plans, IIRC.

How much are you calling? At the rates of some of these Dellmont/Betamax services you need to check hard if unlimited is really worth it.

Forgot to mention I have no internet or smartphone at home so I think FreeVoipDeal, com is out.  H20 wireless give international calling only if you are signed up with their plan

Something like this should be perfect. You can connect it to verizon or whatever carrier is best in your area.

Many varietys so shop around. In my experience much more stable and reliable than obi + wifi.

Kudos for not having internet at home!

Thanks I think you were the only one that got the hint that I am not interested in having wifi or internet in the house.

do you or do you know that uses this? from what i can tell it does not run on landline service? runs on cellular towers?

Is anyone paying less than approx $52/month for unlimited usa domestic landline phone service?

keep in mind I have no internet access etc...

85
Also curious what domestic landline plan do people use who don't have internet.  I use Exchange and pay like $52.00 per month for unlimited plan.
anything better?

You are right I am on a unlimited plan and I think I am wasting money because I doubt I use it to justify it even though I think its only about $13.90 per month.
These options you mentioned I can use my landline phone to make calls to Israel for free because I don't have internet?

This is even cheaper. Has amazing rates.

Is your Stop & Shop card linked to Fuel Rewards? Check here: https://www.fuelrewards.com/fuelrewards/manage-loyalty-cards.html

By the way I called up fuel rewards and they said that is not the way to link it as it has to be done on stop and shop side/website etc... In fact when I tried from fuel rewards website on the option to link loyalty account it only permitted me to link other programs(energy program) not stop and shop so maybe things have changed?  Anyway believe it or not I still have not been successful in linking 2 programs after multiple calls to both programs :o

No, in that scenario you for sure would not ger a credit, as up until now airline and cc miles/points have no taxable value per the IRS. So just like you don't have to include their value as taxable income, you also won't be able to count them as an expense.

what about hybird points like ultimate reward points which can be used to book directly hotels and airlines etc...?
