PSA: Cashier scanned the same card twice. Obviously it failed to activate, but the manager had to issue a refund for the card not activating. He did not realize that it was because it was the same card and he gave me the other never scanned card. I checked before I walked out of the store and realized that the card was not the same and I was able to get my activated card back before it got lost and I would have been out $200Yes it takes a lot of back and forth and faxing in documents. Personally I would not do it for $9. Keep in mind that sometimes it's just a hold not an actual charge. Once the hold falls off the money will be available to use. Just caught up on this thread.... A few observations..... 1) Is anyone else bothered that the primary reason to go to daven is because "one is already spending a lot living the kosher lifestyle?" (At least according to the OP). Is that really what it boils down to? 2) The trend here seems to be that people are not davening (or not davening with a minyon) due to their lack of excitement/connection with Hashem or the Tefilla etc... It's a standard nisayon just like anything else people go through.... Many people understand that learning is important but fall short there as well. OP husband agrees that it's not the right way, yet he's struggling with it, also known as a nisayon. 3) Half of iam's posts were deleted (by him I am assuming) right after writing them... either you beleive what you are saying or you don't..... 4) General litvishe yeshivahs stress learning a lot more than davening (and the importance and necessity it is for our everyday lives). While the older generation understands and would greatly inconvenience themselves to daven and make minyan, many from the younger generation (while understanding that it is the right thing) don't feel the same level of importance for it, as they would attach to learning or other things. You can write the definition in a footnote+1 I have like 3-4 questions that I ask before, basically lights in staircase, access to staircase without needing a key card to get in and out, motion sensors in the room, manual door to lobby. Ironically whenever making these calls, it always occurs to me that a terrorist would ask very similar questions.....

Last round of offers I used 3 laptops and 2 tablets to try and keep things organized. The issue for me is at a certain point the effort vs reward ratio doesn't cut it anymore. Unfortunately, that is the exact outcome Amex is hoping for, and I can't imagine I'm alone on this.

I for one did not hit hard, as you know many have 99+AU's I only have immediate family with same address, When i got the credit back it was for a mistake they did, I ended up talking to a supervisor in a dept. I never heard before, can't remember the name, I asked too many questions to understand the new Amex offers, in brief his answer was 1 per card member, not per SSN, for e.g if i had an offer on all my cards, as the primary holder, that once i used that offer on one card, that is the only allowed credit, if i used it on more cards, no credit or reverse charges, and as long as I as the primary used a certain offer, then all AU,s are not eligible for credit. So AU's are no longer useful.Thanks for sharing that. At this point im not sure if its a case of DROPR or not. Even their updated terms indicate that its limited to one per card member. Based on their terms it would be a very difficult argument to make that the primary automatically disqualifies all AU's just because the primary got the offer already... I've been able to save multiple offers to different cards under same SSN/login last few months. Worked with staples, lowes, and best buy a month back. Use my phone and pc and add offers at the same time. I added the staples and lowes offers to my au account under different login. Should I be worried about clawbacks if I use the offer on the au account as well since the transactions show up under the main account?It was a problem for some last time.
