Sometimes if itís just a few they wonít charge a late fee on it. YMMV.
ETA If itís just the fee with no actual money owed, typo there.

No you get an additional $100. In the event that you hadnít used your $100, you would have $200 to spend now.

Thanks I did basically that. When would a late fee be posted in general? Because the day after the due date (20th) there was no fee. I cancelled that day and made a payment the following day on 21st. Today it just shows cancelled with a credit of $125 (meaning the fee was removed and my payment went through). In a regular case would a fee have been put on already?

Credit Cards / Re: Chase offering $100 credit for CSR AF

Just curious what you guys got with this card?

So you have the $300, $100 , and $60 DD.

How do you justify the $90 Remaining?

Or did any of your downgrade to a CF or Sapphire?
How did you justify before AF increase? It was costing $150 a year?

My wife's marriott card with amex ($125 fee) was due yesterday and I completely forgot about (first time ever). Today she got an alert that it was due etc. and to avoid apr increases she should make the payment immediately. I have not made any charges on the card in ages. My question is does it make sense to cancel the card (which I was thinking about doing anyway when it went up to 125 and then the fee will be removed retroactively? Should I make the full payment right now just to ensure its paid and then cancel to get the fee back?

Tia
Call have late fee removed as a courtesy. Pay bill in full, and then cancel card. Get check back for the credit.

Yes, for in store return. Not sure about online.

BTDT
It varies from promo to promo. Have you tried this time? Also does anyone have the actual list?

I feel like the 20% are very broadly targeted. The 30%-40% seems to be a lot more selective.

Selling many $100+ denominations. 95%.

Same here. I was actually quite surprised.  They know VERY specific details on what you bought (ie, GCs) , how much you spent, how often you spent, etc for the whole year.  They were using that as an argument as to why NOT to extend my points.  B"H the supervisor ok'd in the end.
I know they tend to get very nasty. Not sure what their beef is. They can easily stop the offers for visa/Mc gift cards.

ETA I actually started shopping there more often because of their promos. They are still very expensive for regular items. Their sales however, rival or beat Shoprite lately.

PSA: Steer clear of their offer to let them expire and call later to have them reinstated. Not so simple to get expired points reinstated. I got it in the end but they gave me the runaround.

Yes I had the fee waived on the Platinum card.
Details? Was it a retention offer?

I called to extend points expiring soon, and I was told that they can not do that until it is expired. So if you want to extend your points, call after they expire.
Did you end up calling back after expiration?
