Goods For Sale/Trade / Re: Google Glass Purchase Code For Sale/Trade
« on: December 13, 2013, 07:00:21 AM »
When you make a thread anyone is free to post in it hence the reply botton. If you want everyone to start making their own thread, do as above, and go to craigslist.

If you read through this forum you see there are a lot of master threads even in this forum because there would be too many threads otherwise. Maybe we should create a google glass master thread now bc of the few we've been getting.

Its a forum, people are free to post their opinions. If you don't like what others are saying or advising maybe you shouldn't be on here.

Just my 3 cents.

No they aren't. Please get out of my thread if you are not interested in buying or trading. Thank you
thats an interesting question... If you start a thread do you have ownership of the thread?

General Discussion / Re: Amazon not so prime!!!

My order was for pampers, I did not have a single one left and I was really looking forward for that delivery. I think you can agree that I deserved compensation for that! BTW I got $10 promotional credit and an extra month of prime.
if that is the case that you need the item right away then I would agree with you that you deserve compensation. My point was like DH was saying. People ask for compensation just bc they know that amazon will give it to them. Doesn't mean you deserve it... Amazon reps have a certain flexibility of what they are allowed to offer a customer simply bc they are complaining. And thank you to those who backed me up.

So why does amazon charge the 3.99 few for next day delivery.... HECK!! Why do they even offer next day delivery they don't bring it to my door themselves they should tell me to call UPS myself!!
Are you slow it something like that?
Don't even know why I  responded to your BLAB.. It's amazing the little bit of time you actually spend on DDF has to be  criticizing people. Go AWAY!!
Oh there's so much more to say to you, but I've already wasted too much time.
thank you for taking the time to respond to me. I have my opinion and you have yours. No reason to be hostile. If you feel you are justified in taking $20 from amazon bc your package arrived a day late then by all means you should take it. I don't subscribe to this Shitah.

But you're forgetting that the customer may have actually needed the object the day before and may have been greatly inconvenienced and may have even lost money due to the late delivery.
they did keep their end of the deal. They sent out your item with 2 day shipping. Why should they need to compensate you for a UPS delay? Should amazon compensate you for bad weather that caused delays?  I guess it would be different if you needed the item that day but that is rarely the case and not the point at hand. There is this general attitude on this forum that every little thing requires compensation and it is this attitude I disagree with.

I also just had a package that arrived a day late and I didn't request any compensation.  Isn't that amazing?  Why should you be compensated for every little thing?  Were you sitting at home and waiting for the package to arrive that your time should be compensated?

Has anyone had experience buying unclaimed freight on ebay or otherwise?

classically one would assume there is a button that get pushed in to tell the light that the door is closed---but on these there is just a pair of magnets--one on the frame and one in each door---
so when you put your own magnet on the fridge part--the fridge always thinks the door is closed--and lights dont turn on YAY
i would like to publicly thank yakovwogi for the idea. This indeed did work. Hopefully it will last through a shabbos and not magically detach.

here is what you do for the fridge part---Buy powerful magnets from HD and put them above the spot that has the magnet connector.
Here is a pic--hope that helps
This sounds like it should work for the display and the lights but where exactly do I put the magnets? Mine doesn't look exactly like that.... How small do these magnets need to be?

I checked out it's manual again.  I can't find a button either!  You may have to take out the bulb each week (or leave it out?)

Go back to the showroom where you bought it and ask them, especially if they have this model on the floor.

(You may be in trouble and have electronic sensors, but I don't know anything about that.)

If I can just remove the bulb, why would I be in trouble if there are sensors?

notanonymous beat me to it, but

a)You can take out the bulb each week. Page 30 in the manual.

b) you can tape the button down or use the
It works well.  They come in 2-packs also.

With all the electronics in today's appliances, many come with a 'Shabbos mode' that makes sure nothing can get electrically activated on shabbos.  My fridge has a Shabbos mode, but I called the company and they said if I hold the door switch down it basically replicates the shabbos mode, so I guess I don't have sensors (or something).

Thanks for the advice but the problem is that for the life of me I can't find a button. Any idea where it might be?

Recently purchased one of these, but can't figure out how to shut the light off for shabbos use.  Anyone have any idea?  The model # is rf217acpn.  Any insight would be appreciated.  TIA

Or you can just pay the ticket.  That's what we usually do when we deserve the tickets.
