Lake Como looks awesome but otherwise there are islands off VCE to explore like Murano, Burano, Lido, etc.

Would you recommend Nice or rather Lake Como? or just staying in Venice and exploring nearby islands?

I think 3 days in VCE over shabbos is nice, esp with other islands, etc.

Too long in Venice (we've had this argument already). I'd do 3.5 in Paris, 2 in Venice and a day trip to Lake Como

Do you need to fly to Lake Como? Why only a day trip?

we were thinking of Venice over shabbos. I heard it is nice there on shabbos with good food from gam gam. we dont have to go from Sunday to Sunday, we might leave in middle of the week.
