My ink card still shows as well, and I was a few months before yiu
But this is a personal card - a freedom card - the same card I wish to reopen.

My friend had their card account a closed for high utilization. They continued to pay their accounts off off and they eventually applied for another chase account. They we were denied and called recon. They explained what happened and was approved.
Thanks!

Just logged into my chase account after being A/A'd one year back. All my cards are gone except for one that still shows in the account with the "your account is closed" notification on top of it. Should I wait till it's gone? Does that somehow indicate my case is still "active"? Please share your experiences. TIA!

I was particularly answering to the recon part as well

Chase Branch Manager. Also a few of my friends called recon after being declined for previously unsatisfactory account.

Thanks guys! Was A/A'd December '13 and thinking of getting back in. Will prob give it a try some time soon. Just wondering Mr. DVD, any idea how those recon conversations went? What made them reconsider? Any input would be helpful.

Happens a lot lately
I'm aware of a lot of people getting back in but was particularly asking about the recon part.

If you are declined due to "Previously Unsatisfactory Relationship" call the recon line and chances are you will be approved if your credit is good.

Source?
Is this a personal anecdote or did you take a public survey?

Initially as in when I first got hit, as opposed to now almost a year later...
Oh. Thought it was a follow-up from your previous post.
My experience was that even initially they were very polite. Each time i called they "looked into the matter," but always came back with the same verdict. Very politely, though.

She just said there is nothing she can say or do but was very cold and hard and not at all courteous.
You wrote "The lady I spoke to initially was far from polite."
Seems like you expect a follow-up. Why?

The lady I spoke to initially was far from polite.

Not expecting much more than ״not at this time" but can't hurt to try. Doesn't involve a hard pull ;)
What did she say?

Just spoke to exec dept 8 months out from A/A. Asked if they'll reconsider our relationship and allow me to apply for credit cards. Guy was really nice. Took info and said they will consider it and call me back within three business days.

Will update.
I wish you luck, but don't hold your breath.

-1 what?
What exactly did you not like about my post?
He's saying that paying the AF is an actual requirement. The equivalent wont suffice.

Can we get this straight: Is there a promo code or isn't there? There seem to be conflicting reports from some of the posters here.
