Credit Cards / Re: Citi reconsideration
« on: August 11, 2014, 05:27:57 PM »
Applied for a Citi AA biz card. Was declined because of previous card which was opened almost 2 years ago and closed around a year back (and i thought the biz card was churnable... :-[ ). I was A/A'd by Citi a few months ago, but that doesn't seem to be the cause of me being shot down. I tried recon, but to no avail. Is the Stork the only remaining option? If yes, how do i go about contacting him? What do i write? Ect...

Anyone here have any experience with those Sodastream to C02 canister adapters? (i don't buy into the "food-grade C02" thing)

Did anyone try applying for a Citi card after being A/Ad by them?

Spoke on the phone the other day with the "unreachable" Executive Response Unit and they too couldn't/wouldn't give me any answers. I don't see a letter being any different. Does the Stork and any clout here?

Can we add a vote to this topic so we can get a better idea of the numbers?
+1
And 'Master Thread' added to the title.

Just recieved my closure letter. No reason given whatsoever. Just that they have the right to close it and they are exercising that right.

As I posted in the Chase thread, this is part of Operation Choke Point, the DOJ and FDIC forced the banks to identify and terminate accounts of those involved in activities that they do not like. The likely trigger for those on this forum falls into the category of "Credit Card Schemes" and "non-bank lenders". If you do alot of manufactured spend, or open and close cards all of that can fall under "Credit Card Schemes". If you swipe your card for others then that falls into "authorized lenders".

Anyone who voted in the current administration is to blame. This is a project of Eric Holder. A bunch of GOP senators are trying to stop this and are being thwarted by democrats who like this policy.

The only way to stop this madness is to call your senator and complain.

There is nothing illegal with any activities that triggered these shutdowns!
Source?

When I first started this thread I was debating whether to call it Citi A/A or Citi A/A Master Thread. Decided on the former in the spirit of al tiftach peh. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work... :'(

Yup, looks like high utilization is the key here.
No high utilization by me.
