Up In The Air / Re: United award flights

Redeemed United miles for an international flight on Air Canada with a domestic connection. I called United to add an infant, and they wanted $400 for the infant. I asked for supervisor to try reprice it, coz that's ridiculous for an economy seat. They didn't budge on price and said to call air Canada to try add the infant.  But now when I look on the reservation on the air Canada site, it has my infant recorded with a ticket number. I contacted air Canada, and they say that from their end, the infant is 100% confirmed. Is there a chance they'll cancel it?

I really don't know much about doing this, but would a personal loan help? Probably give you a better rate than your credit card. (Obviously besides for what you can do a balance transfer to a apr free (for whatever months they give) CC).

personal loan will cost more than balance transfer - assuming the bill is paid in full by the end of the interest-free period.
Balance transfer shouldn't do too much to your credit, compared to your current situation.

This is not financial advice. Make sure you do your due diligience.

Someone told me they were flying from LAX to Syd on UA in the 90s. (Obviously, nobody could get Away with stuff like this these days). This guy had his full family on the flight. Few young kids. They were probably being difficult. fA asked the mother, if she ever considered family planning.

They're called tradelines. Google it. Some banks are more prone to shutting you down than others.
