Marriott points trade for approximately $0.006 each (can be had at $0.0055 with patience), so the prices in points to stay for five nights at a category 5 and 6 is $840 and $1,200 respectively (remember that 5th night is free). On top of that, all certificates sell at a discount to their maximum points equivalent, being that points are more versatile and therefore valuable (with the points, I can choose to stay for weeks at a cat 1 or splurge on a cat 8, or even convert to airlines, while these certificates are fixed). So taking the preceding into account, how you are calculating your prices? I'm not trying to be mean, but sometimes I see prices on this board (and others) which just leave me scratching my head.
