Up In The Air / Re: Flights nyc-tlv-yyz $469 on usairways

If you paid ~$469 for the flights, you stand a good chance. Either way, you have nothing to lose by trying.
I tried many times unsuccessfully. They really don't to accomodate the glitch flyers.

a couple of months after i booked tx for the family us airways sent me an email with a changed reservation.
they changed my phl-yyz flight from 7:33am to 7:35am.  can i call them and tell them that schedule change will not work for me?
hard to argue that 2 minutes etc. but as a consumer do i have rights?
thanks.
It's very unlikely that they'll accomodate you.

When I landed in PHL I got escorted by a friendly US employee to the check-in counter in order to check in to YYZ. I explained to the counter rep that I don't want to fly to YYZ, so she took my tags and cancelled them in the computer so it doesn't appear as if they are going to YYZ. I seriously don't understand why people freaked out when a US airways employee helped them with their bags to the check in counter. US didn't hire these workers to prey on people that got cheap tickets!

Credit Cards / Re: Amex F/R Master Thread
« on: December 16, 2013, 04:08:32 PM »
Won't they immediately send me to talk to my "special rep" that won't allow me to close it...
If you don't put in your CC number you will be transferred to a regualr CSR not FR CSR, so you could just ask them to close the card/s.
Also if I close all my accounts with them, will that allow me to come back to amex sooner? Or am I flagged regardless for wtve amount of time?

Actually that's another question - How long till I can try amex again? (7 years? Cohen gadol dies?)
Since you're not blacklisted it shouldn't be that long before you can apply, but they'll most likely ask for tax returns.

I'll try that and keep you posted,  thanks
It goes up and down and they'll tell you that they calculate it based on the current price of an adult ticket, but I've seen them lock in a price at some point and notate it, so if you get a good price go for it.

So this bank statement way seems the way to go.
Bank statement don't always suffice. Many times they insist on tax returns.

you might wanna preemptively close all your cards including your personal cards, since you won't pass the F/R, even though the F/R was directed at your business cards, every thing under your name is sentence to death by the honorable king Amex
-1 There's really no need to close personal cards since he can still pass for the personal cards if he has personal income.

Uh Oh!!!!

My wife just got hit with Amex FR.

We have plenty of income.  however, i dont know how to prove income from business on the biz cards.  please PM me with advice
If you don't have these businesses on your tax returns Amex will most likely not pass those cards, so you may want to preemptively close the biz cards.

When I was there in August the weather was very nice, and it may have rained once for a few minutes. The only thing is that the water was choppy I don't know if that's seasonal.

I didn't have a lot of points in the account thankfully.

Does anyone know (sorry for not reading all 262 pages of this thread  :-\, I only read about 30 pages)  if this will have a negative affect on my score (aside from the loss of my credit line)? And does anyone know of a credit card (maybe from Citi) that gives a large credit line?
It will come up on your credit card as closed by credit grantor which does have a negative affect on your credit report, nonetheless  I don't recall being denied credit with other banks due to that, but it's always a possibility.
