But did the fare actually change that much, or does missing YQ count as a fare change?

I got an email stating my flight times changed, unfortunately the only change is that my PHL-YYZ flight is two minutes earlier, any way to leverage this to my advantage?
There's a huge difference in fare, including the YQ, and I tried convincing them a few times to change my ticket due to a few minute time change to no avail.

See up thread.
I misunderstood what he said. I thought that he was talking about the Conrad booking.

And i think the change fees are almost as much as the ticket.
The change fee isn't that much, relatively speaking, we they really get you is with the difference in the fare which can be mucho $$$.

I totally understand the idea, once you explained it to me a few posts ago, what I am wondering about is how legal is this? I am using a status and not paying for it, as at the gate - if I go with two bags I would not pay. However, once I flip to UAL, they could charge me - I guess because they are shipped you all think they would never retroactively come after me. Which is great - but is that "legal"? Or does it not matter as I actually do have that status?
I think that any legality questions should be forwarded to an attorney (Maybe AJK can chime in;). You're asking if it's against an airlines  T&C that's very different from legality.
It is not illegal. In fact, certain airlines even allow both numbers to be on at the same time - there's a field in the ticket called "FQTV" for the account you want to collect miles on, and another field called "FQTS" for the account whose status you want to use.

United tickets may not have both fields (or at least not easily accessible to you), but that hardly makes it "illegal".

I had booked a regular room only. It seems like they're offering the OWB for free if you choose the 2nd resort option.
Thanks, although I'm still unsure if it'll work out. But I'll redouble my efforts.
What's the 2nd resort option?

Four Seasons is arguably nicer than Conrad.
That'e cool I'm happy for you Drago. I wish I booked the Conrad that's one place I wouldn't mind revisiting.

Any chance I can change the dates for this ticket? Anyone have any experience?
You'll incur a change fee and need to pay the fare difference. If you miraculously manage to do it please report back.

You think they're that stupid?  :o

You need to send in either, form 4506 or 4506-T.
IME it's always the 4506-T form. Take that back I've done both.

I am still looking for data points as to whether people skipping the flight to YYZ will get partner credit. I believe the earliest flights available in this deal were in November (although if I'm wrong and people were already able to take some of those flights, please correct me), so I assume we'll have to wait until mid-to-late November for the brave individuals who chance it to educate the rest of us.
Add your question to the Wiki hopefully the first to try will report.

I spent a month in Barcelona in the winter a couple of years back. If you're asking about the weather it's quite mild.

How many points was it for the OWB? Are the hotels they're re booking you in nicer than the Conrad? Enjoy the Maldives it's really worth it:)

Nah, I'm the only one buying VRs  ::)
I'd imagine that you're not the only one buying VR's ;), but I was just wondering if people are concerned and are therefore being more careful with Chase. I, for example, have no problem buying VR's with Amex because worst case scenario I'll be Fr'd.

+1
in the two FR's i had they didn't ask to w-2's. All i needed was to send them the signed form allowing them to pull specific return data from the IRS.
I pretty sure that that's standard.

no one knows one way or another
Are people avoiding these fabricated  spending patterns because of fear of A/A? I know that Dan claims that he's been buying Vr's etc., but how do most people around here feel about all these spending patterns?

With this whole wave of A/A is it safe to buy VR cards with a Chase CC? How about AP?
