Up In The Air / Re: United ewr-tlv 42.5k awards flights question?
« on: September 12, 2017, 10:26:39 AM »
Thanks for the info, i found a flight with LOT and one of the layovers is only 1 hour.  should this be a concern?  any reason to look for something a little longer?  do these flights tend to get delayed and cause headaches?

Up In The Air / United ewr-tlv 42.5k awards flights question?
« on: September 02, 2017, 10:54:41 PM »
I'm kind of new to booking with miles on United but have been saving up for my son's bar mitzvah next summer.  Looking to go around the week of June 25 for 3-4 weeks.  Don't see any 42.5k direct flights at all. Im logged into my account, only see partner flights at that rate.  I don't have the pay United card anymore only the free United card.  Is that why I don't see it or are these flights just that rare to find?  Be gentle ;). Thanks in advance.

I think Avrohom Fried is opening...
but seriously im sure there are people on the boards that listen to this kind of music.

My sister in law was taking my 12 year old but she has a camp trip so she needs to sell them.  They were purchased almost a year ago...  if you're not interested please ignore...

FYI in case anyone was curious, during one of the many conversations with these reps they said that you have 60 days to get refund on fee.  I dont know how much i trust anything these people say though....

You guys are great, thanks for all the replies.  going to try and reapply today.  i didnt see anything about having to create a new FF account to sign up for another card right?  i had to do that with my chase united.  i should be able to just apply for another usair with the same number and pray that it gets approved :)
just tried to apply for second card on my wifes name and it gave me pending have to wait 10 days...they had a link to check status online and i did that and it said they were unable to offer her a credit card.  i used a different email address for this application but everything else stayed the same and didnt add a FF number :(  should i bother with recon or will they just tell me i have the card already not happening?

They wouldn't downgrade, I got fed up and said I want to cancel.  They wanted my wife back on the phone and they offered to waive the fee for this year.  We took it for now.  Should I try to churn now?  Is it harder when you still have the card? This is her only Barclay card with a 15k limit...think it will get approved?

They keep saying that there is no OFFER to any other card to downgrade to on her account? Did anyone else get that?

Supervisor being annoying too saying there are no other options for downgrading this card....why are they being so difficult?  Even said a friend just downgraded to an arrival without issue and they still wouldn't do it.
