Credit Cards / Re: Misc Credit Card Questions
« on: March 04, 2019, 11:14:23 AM »
I know there are credit cards that don't charge a foreign transaction fee. But how do I know which ones give the best currency exchange rate? Meaning, do those that waive the foreign transaction fee just make it up by giving a worse exchange rate? Are certain providers better than others when it comes to exchange rate?

Looking for a sale. I live in Toronto, and my parents are coming to visit. We just ran out of our 2 cases, so need to buy more. Hoping they are on sale somewhere local to my parents!

General Discussion / Re: INTERNATIONAL RELOCATING SERVICES REQUIRED
« on: May 22, 2018, 04:55:36 PM »
Hello friends,

I have decided to relocate to New York City to treat my father who is suffering from chronic myeloid leukemia. I'm looking for a professional mover with service to the U.S. I think it's better to approach endorsed movers who have garnered enough attention through consumer reviews and publicity.

I inquired among my friends who have already done with hiring such agencies. Most of them had really bad experiences with the packers and movers. Some of their stuff was damaged during the transportation process. Any suggestions about the best moving agency in Calgary providing international relocating services? Let me know your suggestions and comments on this.

I moved 5 years ago from NYC to Toronto and had a great experience with my movers. They did not pack our stuff into boxes, but were so professional and easy to deal with. Please let me know if you want their contact info

Can someone who knows the resturants there update the wiki? I am coming down next week and it seems the wiki is pretty outdated (Rare,  Shemtov's, etc. have closed).

I am going to be making a large purchase in Canada. Any idea how Visa exchange rates compares to banks? Does it make sense to put it on my Ink card, or just use cash? It is for tuition, so dont need the protections. Just curious about the rates Visa gives.

Great timing! In the Flagship lounge now. No kosher meals (but no problem for me as I popped into Levy's on the way from my factory to the airport) but all the baked goods, breads, coookies etc are from ZTB! Chef showed me the invoice.
BTW, very nice lounge. As is the one in JFK - and no kosher food there either...

Do you know- if I am flying business class to Toronto if I can get access to this lounge? Do any credit cards get you access?
