Credit Cards / Re: The "Don't Dos" of Credit Cards
« on: May 08, 2019, 05:42:38 PM »
My bank takes money orders and third party checks in both my business and personal accounts. I do most of it in the business account. The previous bank I used five years ago closed my accounts because of too high caah and money order deposits in a business account, and all was legitimate business deposits. So banks have different tolerance to such issues.

any offers for this card now?
No, I wanted to apply for it and could not find any.

A friend just called to convert his old 7 night cert to a new one. In true Bonvoy style they accidentally refunded him 270k points and issued a new cert. Is there a risk for him to use the cert (and risk a rep catching the mistake) before transferring out the points?
No way to tell fore sure.

Not valid, on 5 accounts.

Is there anyway to know which Avis locations charge taxes & fees? I'm looking at a 5 day rental in August at MDW. The taxes & fees on a paid rental are an exorbitant $211.
$211 taxes and fees for 5 days?crazy.

It's possible that a black cab will charge you £100 for a ride which Uber would charge £18-30.
Never take black cabs.
I used black cabs a lot, never had a problem. I really doubt if he went by the meter the charge would be that high compared to Uber.

On The Road / Re: Legalize Scooter sharing in NY? Lime Scooters!
« on: May 07, 2019, 05:42:15 PM »

I would love to have electric scooter sharing as a transportation option in my city. That's why I hope you will support Assembly Bill A7431 so that communities throughout the state can have access to dockless scooters.

In areas underserved by public transit, scooters can provide an affordable and reliable first and last mile transportation option — often only costing users a $1 flat fee and an additional $0.15-$0.20 per minute. The standard fee for dock-free bike rides is a third of CitiBike’s price and comparable to a subway or bus fare, allowing people of any income or zip code to move around more easily.

As cities around the world embrace micromobility, New York should not be left behind. Please take action to ensure new and innovative transportation options are available for communities throughout our state.

Can I count on you to co-sponsor A7431?
Byrd and Lime are very popular over here, especially around college campuses , very useful for students if the ride not long enough to use uber or lyft.

The Youtube link is invalid buy many other videos on Youtube.

Video of the landing.
Pilot did a great job, but no foam, fire trucks were too late to arrive, very sad incident.
