I'd like to reinstate IHG points that expired in November. Can anyone here help with that?

You forget about the commission he formed to try and prove that #fakenews. They fell flat on their face and were disgraced.

Not that I support Trump but that's an awful example. At least he disbanded the commission and didn't continue to beat a dead horse for 3.5 years.

I just realized that my points and free night certs expired because of no activity. My mistake. Has anyone had success in getting expired points reinstated? They expired in November so I can't even ask for COVID relief.

When this news bulletin hit my feed the first thing I thought of was the similarity to something that happened a few years ago, where companies could send their stock soaring simply by adding the word "blockchain" to their name. Long blockchain iced tea, Online blockchain plc, etc. Good opportunity for a pump and dump scheme - just say your company is going to do work related to treating COVID and then sell fast.

Haven't touched Kodak since they were EK.

What would (or does) DR say about the US national debt? If the next stimulus bill passes we will be $27.6 Trillion in debt, which is 137.6% of GDP. If we have to do it, then we have to do it, but how do we get out of here without bankruptcy?

A rally started... possibly the same type of thinking from among BTC enthusiasts as among Gold bugs. Futures are heating up too. Might fizzle fast but some will see it as an opportunity.

Just want to add a couple of things to this:

WL can be a great vehicle in your fixed income investment basket. If you're only investing in equity then you might not see WL as a logical investment, but 100% equity exposure is not for most people.

A good WL policy is highly similar to a mortgage. Fixed payments with guaranteed equity build up. I can see why someone would choose to put extra money into WL rather than into paying down a mortgage.

The best reasons to not pay off a mortgage early are (wadr to DR)
  • Liquid assets are better than illiquid (and yes, WL is liquid)
  • Net cost of borrowing is government subsidized if you itemize (obviously not everyone, especially after TCJA)
  • The big one that most people don't factor in - Risk sharing. If you own your house outright all the risk of loss is on you (/HO insurance). Having a mortgage means that part of your home's value is the bank's risk. If you had to walk away from the house for any reason, they can never touch any of your other assets

Proposed in congress. Hopefully it'll make it through without politics ruining it.

Spoiler alert.... it won't

Thankfully I'm not in this situation, but if I was I would be very reluctant to send. Of course the seminaries are eager to open, but  will they be equally determined to stay open? Not sure that I'd want to put myself in a situation where a month after paying for the year my kid gets sent home on a chartered flight...

I would have gone with tread wear, but also worth checking for proper inflation. If the tires are bald or unevenly worn you're going to hear it

Most people never got any
