Great service, but you'll need a down payment on a house to actually build a complete trip with ANX.  Wish they had a subscription service like EF/KVS.

It has an option for unlimited searching, for a specific trip, for a flat rate. That may or may not help.

The only source for CX award inventory is an airline website such as CX itself or JAL. Some services may screen scrape that data and try to resell it to you, but that's all it is. ExpertFlyer cannot scrape airline data in this way, however we recommend AwardNexus.com as it is also web based and has a free version.

There is a fixed number of flights that can be returned by the reservation system per search. If you want to see more, advance the time of day of the search to see later flights.

It is up to the airline to publish a flight as a codeshare and for the GDS to exclude it when ExpertFlyer makes the request. If you have a specific search you would like us to look at email customercare@expertflyer.com

I think he's asking if it's the same airline, it should have the same award/upgrade class, so then why some show 0 and some not, CMIIAW.

Because the airline doesn't always assign every class class code for every flight.

Because not every award/upgrade class is returned for all segments. AF in particular won't return an award class code for a segment if it's zero.

*A is only to search, not for alerts. No?

It's for alerts for *A airlines other than LX. An alert for an LX flight will look at the M&M inventory (equivalent of selecting LX as the airline in the search).

How do you set up an alert for LX that is available to *A, when I put LX it gives me M&M availability and I can't put *A?

The way the system is currently setup you can't.

i see availability on swiss zrh-tlv. it does not show up on united website. does it exist? would i be able to book it on the phone?

If you choose SWISS as the airline then please note what is posted at the top of the page:
"SWISS Award availability reflects availability for Miles & More members. Availability to members of partner airlines may be less. Select the "Star Alliance" airline to see partner availability."

New to expertflyer, interested to get alerts when a UA award becomes available. I can see how to search but there doesnt seem to be a way to set an alert for many possible award flights at one shot, it looks like each flight you are interested in needs its own alert? I asked them but no response yet.

Each Flight Alert is for a specific flight on a specific day. We haven't seen a support email today regarding this topic, when did you email us?

ITA Matrix shows the following flight:

Indeed, EF also shows the flight:

However, when searching for "O" availability for that flight, TG920 doesn't even appear, let alone appear and say "no" availability.

It does, however, appear on 5/19.

Why?

For the Star Alliance award search airlines a flight may not be shown if there is no award availability in any cabin for the flight. You can still create a Flight Alert for the flight from the results page of the Flight Availability search or via the Create New Flight Alert page.

Set up an alert on a flight, but then when I saw the space and im still waiting for the email that space was found

As we have mentioned before:
- If you have a question about your alert, please email us at customercare@expertflyer.com so we know who you are and can actually look up the alert.
- The alert system checks several times a day at least, but not every second. If you happen to find inventory between alert checks, that's great, but it doesn't mean there are any issues.
- You may have created the alert incorrectly.
- The alerts look at the segment by itself, if your manual search includes multiple segments then married segment logic comes into play.
- Did you run a Quick Check? That will tell you if the system will see the inventory when the next scheduled check occurs.

Is there a way to get more than 30 alerts? I know that I can pay .99 each but is there some kind of package. It would be good to have a pro plus package with more alerts.

There is no additional package. Most people don't use 30 alerts, so that's why we offer the ability to buy individual alerts for those that may need more.
