Congrats!

But do you always fly business?  If not, then I wouldn't say you are getting 11.32 cents per mile.  But that is just my opinion.

If they don't post you will have to call. If should not be that big of a deal unless things change from what they are currently doing.

Rewards auto post but never auto redeem which means you WILL need to call since you can not redeem on a dead account online.  Is that what you are suggesting people do?

By "they" I assume you meant AMEX, so exactly what they are currently doing?

Does the BofA cc department have anything to do with the banking department? I basically can't bank at BofA (their decision not mine) and I want to know if it's with applying for these cards or if they'll see my social and reject me straight away.
I am pretty sure they are separate entities.  What did you do to them?

Will they automatically post in time? or will i have to call in and fight to get them?  I'm looking for an easy way out lol

Never seen any reports on auto post of rewards on closed accounts.  To have it autopost, AMEX will need to manually run some batch since by default you have to login and redeem.  I think chances of that happening is nil, unless you force AMEX's hands.

Not sure that would be the case. Once earned, you should get them.
Seriously?
How do you define earned?  The entry in your AMEX statement?
The T&C clearly states that you forfeit the rewards if you close your account black on white so maybe you should stop giving people false hope.  There were plenty of written reports here an FT where people calling in to redeem their rewards/pending rewards and got shot down.

So who still thinks they still will get the pending reward sent to them by AMEX after shutdowns? !

Many CSR are saying this.

OK.  I did a search but did not find anything indicating AMEX is going to honor the rewards on closed OBC accounts accumulated.  I called AMEX and was told they were sorry but the awards were toast.

If AMEX acts like Chase you closing your card will not help.   My friend's AARP card (was waiting to get 2nd round) was re-closed by chase 2 months later and got blacklisted.  Her credit report snapshots showed Chase's sneaky action.  Did not affect her credit score in anyway.  But likely AMEX is not chase.

AMEX states that all accrued, but not yet posted, cash back will "automatically" be applied to the account within 8 weeks of the date of the letter of cancellation.

Not holding breath.

Where did you hear this?  I think someone is dreaming. ;D
