After a few months of seeing them rip me off like there's no tomorrow, I changed ESCO's.
Note that in all my arguments with them on the phone, they refused to admit that their prices were higher than ConEd's (or -as you claim- that they'd send me a check at the end of the year), instead they chose to distort the facts.

I am not all questioning your honesty (seriously). This could technically happen, were all human & the fact that the reps think they are master salesman is a separate issue. I hope you have much Hatzlacha whichever Company you are currently using & that you are happy to be a customer of their's.

Last year I donated and had to call in to manually get the credits.
The lady rep was "upset" at me and said she would only do it this last time.
Honestly, this year I am a bit reluctant about charity although I have a family member who runs a religious organization and gives me access to his CC processing page and I get to charge all my card in the comfort of my own home instead of having to fill out forms/go to a store with all my cards etc..

What a thoughtful family memeber you truly have.

I paid less then 1% total so far. I didn't have them for a year yet. I'm still working on 6 months. Still it's good stuff.

In the past, IIRC I've seen CVS for $2.77/case, no coupons necessary, for spring water, no "purified" %#&@.

Did they have  a limit?

Really?  Why so?  Poor Ambit!  Nebach, they're just being picked on

I'll tell you exactly why. Because people (unfortunately) do not like to see others make money. So especially now in the Jewish community as a lot of people heard of Ambit, there are those that are being very successful & making a lot of money from Ambit & their are those that tried it & didn't succeed or never tried it & go around saying that Ambit is a scam, either because they don't really understand the business & the deregulation system, or by them seeing some people being very successful at it & by realizing that they themselves are not capitalizing & it looks like to much work & effort. So it's way easier to just say it's a scam. Now you have a great reason why your not involved & your telling/thinking that watch these people who successful at it, they will be so disappointed when the Company gets busted & when the word will be out that it's a scam.

So when you pass through NJ, stock up on water!  But to pay over $3 for a case of "purified water"  (i.e. basically same as filtered tap water)?? Ehh.
I do agree what makes this a deal is not the price, rather that you don't have to pay deposit, and that it's shipped to your door.

Correct. But I also believe that it's $2.99 - limit 1. At least that's what the circular that arrived today at my house in Queens said, so I assume it's the same in NJ.

Then paperbackswap should be good for you, you get new books for your old ones, the only price you have to pay is shipping on your old books, and the hassle of going to the post office every once in a while.

Sounds like a good solution to me as long as he one has a nice amount of books.

I understand. Also you can just have a friend that will consistently bid on your items for you. I believe that's a legal way to do it.
