Credit Cards And Finance / Help: Denied from serve for no reason
« on: February 17, 2016, 08:50:08 PM »
Hey everyone,

I never had an account with SERVE and I tried applying for one online a couple times but got denied each time. after speaking to a few supervisors the answer is the same: we don't know why you've been denied but cannot do anything at this time. You're being denied by the system. perhaps try another time.

I do have a few Amex CC and everything is excellent, all bills paid, Very good Credit score etc and I also made sure that all my details are correct.

If you have any idea what to do.

Up In The Air / Air Europa no longer part of flying blue
« on: January 04, 2016, 10:02:37 PM »
As of Nov 2015 Air Europa started their own frequent flyer program called SUMA. Not sure if it will change anything since it's still part of SkyTeam so it should still be possible to earn and redeem miles with them through FB.

Up In The Air / Tel Aviv stopover
« on: December 21, 2015, 07:08:36 PM »
Hey all,

Do you think that a 3 hours stopover in TLV is enough to go from one flight to the other? it is NOT a stopover but 2 separate tickets.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking into going to the Canary Islands and couldn't find anything about it. I think that such an impirtant destination deserves its own thread!

So... Anyone been there? In the winter?

What's better between Tenerife and Gran Canary?

Credit Cards And Finance / old (canceled?) card charges still post?
« on: June 04, 2015, 12:50:43 AM »

I lost a foreign Amex card a while ago so I canceled it and since I needed the card that day I went to their office to pick up a temporary card, a few days later I got my new card which I used since than.

As far as I remember, when I spoke to the representatives they told me that when I start using my new CC, the old one will be automatically canceled, however I just got a charge from a certain agency that only had the temporary card.

Is it normal? Can I -in theory- fight the charge because it was a canceled card?

I want to publicly the above DDF members (and others that I don't know their name here) for taking their time advising me and reassure me. I had a certain incident at the beginning of the week which was quite frightening at the beginning, bh it looks like everything is been resolved.

Up In The Air / "Open" ticket Master Thread
« on: May 12, 2015, 05:41:27 PM »

I was wondering what are the options for "open" tickets out there? (For those that don't know, open means that you can change the ticket without fees)

I only know about Air France Young Fare (Tarif Jeune) which allows you to use your flight for 12 months from the departure! This is really awesome for me and I use it all the time.

Anything else?
