No big, just open hundreds of new schools....

Obviously that's not going to happen, but that should be the negotiating position against schools that are charging full price and providing meager services.

Why can't they let the school close and open a new one when everything reopens? The obligation to have a school doesn't seem to apply when the school itself is not (or is barely) operating.
There's a chiyuv to make sure all the kids are educated. Keeping a shell of a school open doesn't fulfill that obligation anyways.
In fact, wouldn't there be an obligation to open a new online school if the current one isn't up to it?

So these people are not contagious even though they are symptomatic and positive?

It's possible they're not contagious in the interim period, but nobody really knows.

Taxes. People living comfortably in the U.S. paying in the 30% range will not be so happy to start paying 50% in taxes. It also disincentivises people to work hard to move up, which is the whole point in enticing Americans.
Cut taxes, and not only will Americans be incentivized to move, it would also greatly help all Israelis to move up the ladder.

It seems like there is a big difference between various schools in how much the teachers are currently working. No school should be able to even think about charging parents as usual if the teachers aren't, at minimum, putting in the same amount of time and effort as they do under normal circumstances. If you provide only 1-2 hours of zoom a day, take a hike.
If anything, teachers really should be putting in extra hours to make up for the lower quality of learning provided.

Just to add, what about students who have their own apartment and are on bituach leumi?

I haven't seen a clear summary of how ppp or eidl works for a sole proprietor. Anyone have details?

Any very good car deals other than prolonged 0% financing?

It really is so bizarre. I can taste a little savoriness for about a second after putting food in my mouth, and then all flavor just disappears.
If most of taste comes from smell, how was I able to taste things last night, but couldn't smell at all?

From numerous people who i have spoken to, and tested positive, a bad headache is definitely one of the symptoms. Remember that until a few days ago, losing sense of smell and taste, wasn’t listed as one of the symptoms either.

Not tested, but had high fever, and now lost sense of smell after about 72 hours of symptoms. The first 36 hours I had a blinding headache. Couldn't put on my glasses, and couldn't even touch my head to my pillow. BH since then, it's been very mild.

negative. if we are comparing to other pandemics, you need to consider the fatality rate as well.

This. Worst case is not nearly as bad as small pox and Spanish flu, where people of all ages were dying in large percentages.

Looks like a lot of people are on the fence, mitigating the effectiveness of whichever approach they're taking. Whatever you're going to do, do it now, and at 100%

If you book a mixed cabin award and space opens on the Y leg you can probably call and get moved to J, but it won't happen automatically. This isn't related to Plan B.

If you book Plan B and there's room on one leg, you should be put into J on that leg and automatically upgraded to J if room opens on the leg without J availability. I believe they will set it up for you like that. I know it works for sure when one leg isn't UA but has J availability and the UA leg doesn't.

Either way you'd end up spending more miles for J. In the first case because you booked a mixed cabin knowingly and in the second case because you flew in J on at least 1 segment.

In the mixed cabin award case, which upgrade status do you get? Can I call up and get PR-1?

I had to hold for ANA about 2 hours.
If they're open 24 hours, the wait is much shorter in middle of the night.

All these are based on percentages of confirmed cases? It doesn't seem like they're accounting for cases that never come in and get tested, so it's probably actually lower. That's basically impossible to eatate at this point. The flu has been around long enough that they can make educated guesses.
