It does.

A week or 2, or a day or 2? I have a cert expiring 9/24, and want to use it 9/22 or 23. How far can I play chicken?

Does last minute award space open, or once it's close and already booked, I shouldn't hope?

You can order from Amazon. Get a few things to defray the shipping cost per item, and it comes out cheaper than buying in Israel, and better quality too.

You can deposit a euro or two to use the built in lock on the shelf, and get it back when you take your luggage.  You should cut a day or two from Rome and go to Florence. Going to Amalfi/Tuscany after Venice is out of the way.

Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: New Zealand Master Thread

It depends on the credit card as far as which will cover campers in NZ.   The Citi Prestige/Premier cards were the only ones I know of that offer coverage on all vehicles.  Most (such as the CSR, CSP, Barclays) have restrictions for specialty vehicles such as campers, pick-up trucks, etc so they would be unlikely to offer coverage.  Citi is discontinuing this coverage beginning in September or October this year IIRC.  You also need to check whether your CC has coverage in New Zealand as many don't offer coverage here, along with countries like Ireland, Jamaica, and a few others.  I know the Citi Premier/Prestige and Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve offer coverage here, but others exclude New Zealand.  Do you know what cards you have that you would be using?

One thing to keep in mind is that NZ has the AAC, which covers all medical expenses for individuals who are injured in accidents in New Zealand, so liability coverage is not necessary.

Liability also covers the other guy's car.

I wanted to go a bit more different. Like somewhere in Europe. I'm around Israelis 24/7  - no offense :)

Anyways, the Mrs. just shot down Eilat.

Looking for beach destination closeish to Israel with warm water in January. Will be going with the family, so no extravagant places like Maldives/Koh Samui. No third world places either.

Tech Talk / Re: Google cell phone: Project Fi
« on: July 17, 2019, 01:30:23 PM »
This is my problem with Fi at the moment. i ported in a voice number but now if I pause service, I don't get SMS/Voicemail. So I have to keep the service on even when overseas for extended periods and using local sims - this way I get Fi calls to google hangouts on desktop.

Fi recently added a way to access the voice interface so I can at least see my pre-fi texts etc.

I have the same issue, so I canceled Fi, and put my number in GV, so I get calls and texts through hangouts on my cell using my israeli cell data. It works perfectly seamlessly. The problem is now I have to reactivate Fi, and they're telling me if I do, I can't park the number back in gv if I cancel Fi, which I plan to.
