Tech Talk / Re: Google cell phone: Project Fi
« on: July 17, 2019, 09:55:07 AM »
I had Fi with the phone deal, canceled service in May after I earned the 1k gift cards, and moved my number back to google voice. I now want to reactivate it for a bit, but Fi is telling me if I move my number from gv to Fi, I can't transfer the number back to voice if I cancel Fi. Any way around it?

That's not a great price. Easyjet is often 50 each way.

Correct. Whatever that means. The only airline that serves Lubavitcher Shechita AFAIK is SU (same meal for breakfast, lunch and supper).
How did you discover that? Not just Lubavitch hashgacha?

Wing

its your only option if your going F

Ask for the cabana the second you come from the shower attendant

What about the Pier?

Also, can I use the Pier/Wing as arrival lounge on a layover? I arrive 5:30 from tlv, and leave 16:30 or so.

Doesn't look like Dan is interested in a DO.

Anyone interested in giving dollars and receiving shekels on a monthly basis? Account transfers on both ends, unless you want to pick up the NIS in RBS.

Yup, and most people don't get seats, so standing and very squishy after being up all night...

The hechsherim situation in Israel is very corrupted, it started with some idiots in the eidah chareidis that used to be the hechsheirem monopoly in Israel (specifically in Jerusalem) so when someone tried opening an hechsher they made sure (thru terror) that no one is gonna eat from them!!! this is what happened to belz and then again to rubin , machpud is a different situation because of sfardic halacha is different then ashkenazi in certain things

Hence the perpetual bewilderment. My sense here is Israelis don't either really know anything. It comes down to do you trust(like) the group giving the hechsher. Very sad.

I see the Ramparts Walk around the Old City has 2 sections - north and south, that don't seem to connect. Assuming it's likely to be hot, is it really worth it to do both sections, and if not, which of the 2 sections is the better one, which we'll make sure to do first?

The northern one goes around the Muslim quarter, and southern around the Jewish quarter. I went several times to the southern and it's amazing, but unfortunately, never to the northern portion.
