Credit Cards And Finance / Re: Marriott Rewards Card
« on: May 15, 2019, 12:04:06 PM »
I have an old Marriott Chase CC I never upgraded to the new Premier Plus card. I also have an SPG Biz Card. I recevied both bonuses over 24 months ago but the cards are still active. I am in the process of cancelling both right now.

Can I get the 100K Marriott Bonvoy bonus today?

Does having the old Marriott (premier) disqualify someone from getting the new signup bonus on the Chase Bonvoy card (soon to be 100K)?

I guess everyone figured it out since then.

I agree about the catches and comebacks, but come on? Road playoff victories? That's for teams that went 9-7 and have 2-3 road games, as opposed to Brady who can count on a few fingers how many road playoff games he's played before the conf championship over more than a decade. Plus, how about 0? As in, 0 playoff wins outside of those 2 SB seasons. Now, that's a big "outside of," agreed, but if in a 14 year career, you either miss the playoffs or go one and done in 12/14, and have an all-time W-L record (which is very diff from pitching W/L, as above) just 2 games above .500, it's hard to call him an easy HoF'er, and that's from a Giants and Eli fan.

I don’t think the name Manning is a factor, but the other two may very well be. Also, god for you for not thinking he deserves it, but did you feel the same way 2-3 years ago? I think Giants fans are just upset at him now..

I've always loved him for his calm demeanor, his consistently above average performance, and his nearly unprecedented durability. No doubt the Giants will miss all 3 in the near future. But never did I think he deserved to be in the HoF.
This is not an absolute rule, but for the most part, QBs in today's day and age that belong in the HoF are the ones whose teams you know should win 9-10 games or more every year, regardless of any other details you have on the team (i.e. Brady, Rodgers, Brees, maybe Luck (soon enough) & Big Ben, not so much Eli, Romo, Flacco, Stafford, Ryan, etc). Again, it's not a hard rule, but to me works more often than not.

Any non Giants fans here that think Eli Manning should be a Hall of famer?

FTFY, at least for this Giants fan and his friends.

Also, re:
If winning 2 superbowls as a qb is all that qualifies you for HOF, would Nick Foles had gotten in, had he won one this year?
Of those 12, how many had anything near the regular season stats that Eli has? again career  .500 W/L. And thats with some absolutely dominate defenses.

Am I the only one who opened this thread hoping for some amazing deal on a product called or manufactured by "Standards"?

LT5's covers start with "Hallelu", a reworking of "Holiday Road" from the classic comedy National Lampoon's Vacation.

Haha, found this post via Google after wondering why Sunday Night Football was playing Lev Tahor.

Looks good. I'm in.

Francesca is a joke but a stopped clock is right twice a day. Not good optics when an agent goes right to GM without any stops.

-1. The GM hire is debatable, maybe even a bad call, but he came into the interview looking for blood and mocking him for trying to be positive and mostly pareve on Day 1.
