A little bit off topic here, but on a KLM flight recently, while the steward was serving meals there was no way for me to get to the rear of the plane to use  the restroom for economy class, so I asked if I could use the business class restrooms and he said I could.

As I'm waiting to use the occupied restroom in business another stewardess notices me and scoldingly says to me you don;t belong here, I tell her I got permission and she responds "oh really?!" I said I did and she walks off. A dew moments later, she tells me rudely, don't you know you are in our way here maybe move out of way.

Should I bother sending this to KLM? Can I expect to receive any sort of compensation?

Thanks

Please excuse my ignorance.

I just sent an SM to Amex today and received a response.

In the response, it says I should simply "reply to this email". The only problem is, when I'm logged into my account and in the SM window, I don't see any place to respond. Do I just send a new SM message and automatically it will go to previous rep?

Thanks

I have a flight booked in economy on American's new 777-300ER. I can't wait to try out their new product. Wish I was getting to fly in one of their first class swivel chairs but I can not afford that at the moment.  :)

When and from where to where are you flying?

If you want to do a hike and see the Getty Villa I would probably recommend Escondido falls, as it's a little less strenuous than Eagle Rock. Also Escondido falls is shaded pretty well,  and the waterfall should be full because it's almost the spring. It's definitely worth it to do both.

Are dogs allowed? The last time I did the Runyon Canyon hike in LA and the dogs really spoiled it for me . There were more dogs than humans there  :)

Getty villa is open Monday.
Do that and/or a hike going out to Oxnard?

After Oxnard, do you continue on to Santa Barbara?

Can anyone tell me what there's to do in SB ?

Really? Well in response to a 'not to miss' activity off PCH, I'd say the Getty Villa is nicer than the Adamson House (although you could easily do both).

The Getty Center is very nice, but I like the outdoor gardens at the Getty Villa as well as the wonderful view of the ocean from there. Also, if you happen to be into Greek mythology, there is a lot more of interest at the Getty Villa than at the Getty Center. I don't believe they even have portraits at the Getty Villa.

At only $15 for parking and free entry and tours (architecture and garden), its well worth it.  You need to get tickets for timed entry at their website, and also note the days they're closed (I believe it's Monday and Tuesday).

Looks like I was quick to pull the trigger. I didn't even get a chance to read this post yet...

The Getty Villa is more focused around statues and Roman art. The Getty Center is more the traditional art museum.the Getty Villa is a beautiful place to visit, as they have lots of outdoor gardens and galleries. The Getty Center also has outdoor gardens but that is not the focus.

If you had to pick to pick one, which would it be? I know this might depend on personal preference, but both sound really nice to me.

You don't think they have a Keurig or any other coffee machine they like? Anyone who is into coffee will have a machine.  Anyone not into coffee can care less about a Keurig.  I wouldn't buy a Keurig..

Some other ideas:
Tiffany Vase ($150)
Go to Bloomingdales Home Dept and see if anything catches your eye, they have some really nice stuff.

Thanks! I like your suggestions.

Sure!I've spent many years in LA. That pretty much sums it up.

Shopping=The Grove, 3rd Street Promenade, Americana at Brand, Beverly Center. Camarillo Outlets if you go to Oxnard.
More food than you can swing a bat at.
Worst traffic in the nation, stay off the highways anywhere near rush hour.

Getty Center Museum is free and has nice views if the smog isn't bad that day.

Thanks Dan! You mention the Getty Museum. It seems that you are referring to The Getty Center. I'm showing on their site they also have a Getty Villa in Malibu. Has anyone visited the Villa and know which is the better site to visit?

General Discussion / Re: cheap car lease

when a leasing company quotes before tax they are not hiding anything. a lot of people dont put tax in the monthly payment.

Still doesn't make it right.

The truth is, its not so much the monthly taxes which is the issue. It's all the other fee's as well which they hide. Bottom line, a company which advertises the monthly taxes, is going with the right attitude and gains my trust a lot quicker.

why is quoting without tax not honest?

Maybe not dishonest, but I prefer someone who shows me the bottom line and isn't hiding a bunch of numbers from me. I don't need to be fooled by their marketing gimmicks...
