Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Next Vacation - Ideas

Everything finally fell into place to go just DW and I for 2 days with the night without any kids. All we need is a nice pretty area to spend some quiet time. We can fly somewhere but don't want to spend half the time flying from Lakewood. It would be nice if it was a little cooler than here. Any ideas?
If driving is okay, Lake George or Vermont / NH.

WOW: Air Canada Wants To Acquire Aeroplan
I'd be surprised if this wasn't their intention all along...

Can anyone help me book a mileage trip? I am trying to identify business class awards. Particularly anyone know how to get Aerolineas Argentinas miles? They don't seem to share the business class availability with partners? I see other options with other airlines but I would love to get a single long hawl from JFK to EZE.
United and American have direct NYC-EZE flights as well.

why would you have me cross the border multiple time, wouldn't I be better off working my way from IGR to the IGU side they on to RIO
IME you need a full day on the Argentinian side and half a day on the Brazilian. If you get there mid day I think it'll make more sense to go to Brazil and come back once the park closes (that's what I did, although I returned from IGR as well).

ok I need some advice rergarding my itin.
currently I've cut Manaus out due to lack of time

i have a week to play with 7/23 - 30th. I'm thinking to do Iguazu first then head to RIO for Shabbos & flying back home Monday night. the only problem is connecting straight to Iguazu is a royal pita, no matter if its through RIO or EZE due to flight times or switching to alternate airports.

At the moment here's what I'm thinking

EWR-EZE 7/23 arriving next day 9:50am

6 hours to play with in BA

AEP-IGR 6.50pm 7/24 or 6.15am on 7/25

decide where to base myself in Iguazu

then IGU-GIG (no direct igu-sdu) either thursday night 7.40pm or friday morning.

stay in the Marriott, Monday night GIG-JFK

Wadda people think, I need to finalize this thing asap

muchas gracias
Looks great.

I'd do 24 hours in BsAs and fly out to Iguazu Wednesday morning. Spend the second half of the day on the Brazilian side and Thursday on the Argentinian side, then fly to Rio Friday morning.

Sunday + Monday in Rio should be perfect.

Not a new TR, but I suppose this is the best place to put this.

I've uploaded a ton of new images to my public Flickr page, many of which have not been shared here before. Check it out at, if you're so inclined.
Wow. Just wow!

He's selling a service kind of like the free night certificates
$400 a night (or less) is available online. I'm guessing he just wants to book as a diamond.

What if someone flew one before today, does he get to list both aircraft in the Aircraft List thread?

7,500 BA x2
Only took 2.5 hours on hold
They've gotta fix their website so it starts showing AA award flights again!
If you click around enough, it shows AA.

Koh Samui
Why that over the Maldives? Doesn't Thailand have Zika as well?

Whats the best way to search LATAM award availability for domestic Brazil flights?

AA, BA & Qantas don't seem to work
You sure they don't work? Perhaps there's no availability.

I used BA in the past.

I hate the new version. Makes you search before you can set preferences among other annoyances.
Drivers me nuts.

That link still works for the old version from time to time, but after a few minutes it stops displaying results saying "can't reach server" or something.
