On The Road / Re: Honcker app

And of course, they MESSED up royally here.

The price I was quoted they said included a $2K incentive which I am not eligible, so my price went up from $410 to $499. They did offer me a $300 check as a courtesy.

What bothered me however was that they did pull my credit, and they told me that they didn't. Woke up to 2 alerts today, and they pulled it twice. One from CREDCO and one from ALLY.

I think they are not ready for prime yet.
FWIU (and I might be wrong here) FICO will combine all hard pulls within 30 days used for mortgage or auto loans and count it as one as far as your score is concerned.

Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Argentina Master Thread

How many days do you need in Buenos Aires? Would this itinerary work?

Saturday night flight, land in Iguasu Brasil Sunday afternoon. Tour the Brazil side of Iguazu.
Monday – Argentina side of Iguazu
Tuesday – fly to Buenos Aires + city
Wednesday – Day Trip to Colonia del Sacramento
Thursday – Day Trip to Tigre Delta
Friday – Buenos Aires
Saturday – Buenos Aires
Sunday – Gaucho day trip, late flight home
Monday – Land at 6 am, go to work
Sounds good.

Personally I'd fly to BA late Tuesday or even early Wednesday so you get some more time in Iguazu as on Sunday upon arrival you'll probably be quite tired. I'd also skip the trip to Colonia as there's not much to do there AFAIK.

Check out the Lujan zoo while in BA.

Use Avios and fly AEP-IGR.
Good option, though if you have AA miles, it's less in miles and fees.

  Thanks guys.
Please report back what you end up getting.

Trip Reports / Re: CBS Brazil TR

Good memories of Rio. Thanks for the TR!

Regarding the SDU takeoff; I'm pretty sure that depends on the wind direction. I remember selecting seats on a specific side of the plane only to take off in the opposite direction.

Been using them for years. Not the most user friendly software, but once you get the hang of it it's decent.

I'm considering switching to a mobile app solution (no hardware purchases).

I am not really sure but I am guessing it's half the 3 region award price in J?
Yep. 185k / 2 and rounded down.

Then why isn't it the same in reverse?
It is, unless you have an Israeli address in which case they see it as originating in EU.

The 3 region award is. Why is this a 3 region award? Its 2 regions europe and ME.
If you split it in 2, then you're right, it is not, but if you want it under 1 PNR, it is going to be a 3 region award (NA,EU,ME).

Its not on their award chart. How do they even come off doing this? The itinerary he searched is 105k booked seperately.
It actually is. See below.

They priced it as a 3 region F award, which it is.

OTA are GDS...
Good to know. I seem to recall Orbitz showing me no checked bags.
