COVID-19 Discussion Board / Is it time to go back to work?
« on: March 27, 2020, 07:54:04 AM »
As many now know Trump is looking at Easter for the day to have this country go back to work or what ever you want to call it. Why would he pick a day that falls on a Sunday? Just in case some of you are not familiar with what Easter represents: Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

So did he pick this day because you believe he is a deeply religious man or might there be another reason?

Should we be worried about these going bust? Anything we can do at this point?

I know we have members in these fields and would like to here their view.

Car, you think we will see big discounts?

Touchless faucet.

What do you want to see in the give away?

#1 should be to take care of the workers that are out of work.

I am leaning yes.

I will give mine a plus. Stressing all the guidelines out there. Cancelling all school. Cancelling all church services. Streaming church services online.

As some Americans huddle in their homes and hoard toilet paper, others are taking a quite different approach — stepping out to drink the pandemic away.

Social media lit up this weekend with accounts from all over the country of people — especially young people — packing into bars. A Twitter user in Baltimore posted around 6 p.m. on Friday that every bar and restaurant on his downtown street was crammed with customers. Another user in Washington, D.C., tweeted later that evening that, while heading out to buy something from the hardware store, he passed several bars — every one of them filled with people.

“The bars in my neighborhood are all packed with young people,” one New York City resident tweeted around 8 p.m. on Friday. “Do you remember what it’s like to feel invincible?”

NCAA cancels remaining winter and spring championships
Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.

It was an F but changed to D after last nights speech.
