General Discussion / Re: Magento 1.9.3.4 or Magento 2

I'm not sure I understand. Your going along with Magento community, correct? So what $$ are you talking about?
2.0 will cost about 4,000, and 1.9 will be about 3,000

Apparently he already has a Magneto site. I guess some/alot of the work is loading and setting up the content?
That is correct. I have a Magento site that is very raw, and was just set up for presentation purposed. Now, the job is to upload the items to the site, and to finalize graphics (as well as to roll-over customer info, from previous old site). The new Magento site was set up in 1.9, and I am now deciding if I should keep the 1.9, and make all the necessary revisions, or spend the extra money and go for the 2.0.

I found a pretty decently priced developer, that has done a lot of nice work for people in the community (although they are Indian, they have some good results to show for themselves). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

General Discussion / Magento 1.9.3.4 or Magento 2

Hi I am working on creating a website, and the developer told me that if I use Magento 1.9.3.4, it will be a lot cheaper and quicker to complete (since I already have a rough website using 1.9.3.4). Is there a reason to spend more money and time to use Magento 2? Please let me know. Thanks

I would suggest Woocommerce or Shopify

Magento Development is considerably more expensive and resource hungry.
Thanks

What made you decide on magento? it may not be the best choice, and one thing i learned is that cheap is expensive, secondly you should let the designer suggest what platform based on your needs
I am looking for a freestanding platform for  A pretty simple drop shipping business. What other options are there?

Looking for an E-Commerce site. At this point cheap is more important than good. I would like to use a Magento site.

General Discussion / Call Center For E-Commerce Platform

Hi I am looking to outsource my call center for an ecommerce site, with about 10-20 calls per week. Anyone have any leads, or know of any company that provides good cheap service for a small client like me? Thank you!

Thank you.

Does anyone else have any Drop Ship automation software that they can recommend?

Hi I am about to purchase an existing drop-ship business that uses magneto as its customer  facing website. I am looking for a software that will receive the orders from the website, and will automatically generate an invoice, and at the same time will send the information to the drop shipper asking them to ship the items. I really don't have a lot of experience in this area and I was hoping that someone would be able to help me out. Thank you
