The W was paid all cash?

I broke down the costs in the end of the TR. Have a look please..

Hence my question. In what way?

open 3 browsers & look at the over-water rooms.

FWIW many Maldivian employees (pilots etc) & some who have seen the St. Regis told me that its hands down the nicest hotel in the Maldives once it opens.

139
Mind if I ask what exactly rubbed you as "nebby"  regarding the PH?

its not nebby, but when compared to the other hotels available its nebby. of course its an excellent hotel.

amazing tr, what made you decide on the W?

I didnt want the Conrad as I thought the W's rooms looked nicer.
I wanted to stay in a place Yidden stayed previously.
Park Hyatt was too nebby for me.
Gili Lankafushi/Constance Halaveli was my second choice
I thought I would have SPG plat status by now which I dont

141
How'd you get the conrad for so cheap?

Whats so cheap? The standard 80k rate.

Awesome report! I got a bit out of breath reading it, that was a fast job! Impressive.

Thank you for the scuba diving go pro tips

@Chap
Very nice trip report and Mazel Tov!!!

Curious: Why did you use frozen pom meals in Thailand when you can have fresh hot Chabad? Am I missing something?

Regarding the Elephants, When we were in CNX, we went to a place that treats the elephants nicely and teaches you how to take care of them. They don't tie them up and don't put saddles on them when you ride. It's a nicer feel to know the animals are treated nicely.
Shame. I took the A380 from BKK-CDG just a few months ago and it was the best I've slept on any flight. It did look like the plane was half empty so that may have something to do with it being discontinued.

We didnt take pom to koh samui, we bought from Chabad. Breakfast was from the Conrad (from chabad too)

40 foot pool???? Did you get the Royal oceanfront or one of the residences? Bc the typical pool isn't nearly 40 linear nor is it 40 square feet (though it's close)

Its 40 feet. The 2 bedroom suite is like 46 feet but we declined that upgrade, it was just too big.

Wonderful TR!

Thank you for the tools & tips throughout the years!
Appreciate the compliment

Very nice TR. I'm sure much of this info will come in handy for myself and others one day

Feel free to pm or message me whenever you plan on going. I'll help you.. Although this TR is basically pretty detailed
