Call me junkie, but I'd rather transfer MR>EK (instantly) than SPG>JAL, even if the latter requires less miles for redemption.
As you said, there are plenty of ways to MS more miles, but there's no way to get back an unavailable seat on your preferred date.

« on: April 27, 2015, 02:02:21 PM »100K RT in F and 65K rt in J for JFK-MXP. Lucky did a piece on it but no one paid attention bec of YQ at the time. Now there are no YQ. Its higher for one way but possible at 60J/90F. Lucky updated with a post below. This has gotta be the best F class Redemption to Europe(80K spg). Route will be on A380 so showers as well. Not a great connection, but easy jet flies MXP-TLV.Only downside is the time it takes for an SPG transfer to go through.
