Up In The Air / How To Get *A Gold Benefits On AC Award ticket?
« on: September 30, 2014, 12:31:29 PM »
I booked a ticket on AC using UA miles, how can I add my A3 FF# (I have *A Gold through them) so I will get 3 free bags? Online I can't add a FF# and when I call in they say that because its an award ticket, its impossible to add a FF#

Any suggestions?

Driving me nuts for the past hour...

I wanna build a Succah in my back yard, but its full of weeds. If you know someone who will take care of them for a good price, please PM me. Thanks.

And how about going through immigration?

Long story short - a friend of mine fell for this scam about 6 weeks ago, he was promised $2500 because his wife was not approved for CC's so he will only get half of $5k, okay fine. Today he recieved a check of $1500!!!!!!! When he called them up they claimed that they did not receive the bonus on one of the cards they opened for him   :o :o He asked "I have no idea what you're talking about, you told me you apply for the cards, you do the spending and I just get a check in the mail of $2500" they said they can't help him. They made off him 350,000 MR points (over $5,000 worth) and they gave him $1500. I have no words.

This is all besides the point that they did refundable tickets, deposited checks which had no coverage, and his account is under  a FR now.

I think it's time Dan should write up a post about them and reveal their scam.

I know about the other threads, but I opened this one so the title says the truth about them

Up In The Air / What Do You Value More Overall, MR Or UR?
« on: August 27, 2014, 01:26:06 AM »
Personally MR.

Not sure why people still value UR more than MR, if it was before the devaluation, I understand, UA was my favorite currency as well, but now besides Hyatt I see MR with much more opportunities, first of all, ALMOST each and every UA operated flight which is available for award can be booked with MR which transfers to Aeroplan and SQ for a far better value -

Domestic US/Canada flights - UA 12.5K with close in fee; Aeroplan 12.5k with NO close in fee.

NA-Europe on LO, SN, LX - UA 70K with close in fee; Aeroplan  45/52k with no close in fee.

NA-TLV on UA - UA 70K with close in fee; SQ 57.5k with no close in fee.

Same goes for intra-Europe and Europe-Middle east flights.

Now with MR you have AZ, FB, and some other partners that UR does not offer and you can find some really sweet spots when redeeming FB (and AZ) as well as all the other partners.

I value my MR points more than my UR points.

A friend of mine booked a one way ticket YUL-TLV, they didn't let here board the flight until she booked a return, is this a law or something?
