This won't work all the time but it will a couple times a year. If your (or know someone who is) in college, overpay your tuition and the school will refund you the rest. This works best if your getting financial aid. For example, I paid $4K above what I need to, spread payments over a couple cards, hit a couple spending requirements and just got a big fat check for 4K in the mail. Probably method for refunds also depends on the school, so check first.
