Waze Messes with my Contacts

Occasionally I find that the phone numbers and emails have been deleted from a whole bunch of my contacts and all that's left is the name and a Waze icon.

This happening to anyone else? Any way to fix it?

are you sure the deleted the information? IMO it just makes a new additional contact only for waze

No. Most of my contacts are good, but occasionally a handful of them get deleted.

Why not just turn off access to your contacts? I know you can do it with iOS i'd be shocked if you couldn't with android.
