AAdvantage Double EQM is here!

Many of you probably already saw this, but AAdvantage has a 2009 version of AADER.  This year's code is DBEQM. 

I noticed a couple of big differences from this year's version to last year's version:
--you must book the flights AND travel between March 18 and June 15 (last year you only needed to travel within the promo dates)
--this year's version is 3 months long (I think last year's promo lasted 2 months)

If you're referring to a Gold challenge or a Platinum challenge on AA, this promo is for something else entirely.  You can earn status on AA through points, miles, or segments (or 1MM/2MM).  The challenges are based only on EQP (points), which reward those who pay for the higher booking codes.  This promo is for double EQM (miles).  This may be an easier way to earn status for those who fly in deep discount economy fares, as it's basically BIS miles (min. 500 miles/segment for elites only).

This can go along with 3x RDM (reward miles, not elite qualifying) Boston bonus promo (BOS3X).  This bonus applies only for direct flights between BOS-SAN/LAX/SFO.  You'll end up with 3x the number of RDM you would normally get (a 200% bonus).

can anyone tell if the last cheap J tickets on US airways ORD-TLV (~2043.00) will be eligible for the EQP Bonus ? Or for the Bonus Miles offered now by AA ?

This a quote of AA's T&C:

Certain airline tickets are not eligible for earning mileage credit. These include, without limitation, the following: all tickets issued as AAdvantage awards or other free ticket promotions including free or reduced rate tickets; companion tickets; charter flight tickets; travel agency/industry reduced rate tickets; infant tickets; items occupying a purchased seat; unpublished fare tickets, including consolidator fares, tickets issued as a result of a fare published inadvertently or by mistake and tickets issued subject to special provisions.

But to answer your question if marketed by AA it's 2.0 EQP. That was the case in the PEK deal back in March.
