The hassle, and the potential for being on the hook. Getting insurance through a method they can claim is fraud is essentially driving without insurance; never s good idea IMO.

That's exactly why I pointed it out. IIRC it does include insurance and as you said it's never a good idea and of course when renting for a longer period of time.
