Got a SPG hotel via Priceline but paid with Sapphire
« on: August 24, 2012, 01:16:41 AM »
I was bidding for a hotel in Jersey and got the Sheraton Eatontown Hotel for $75, since I didn't know I was going to get a Starwood hotel I had paid with my Sapphire card. Will I be able to get 3rd night free or anything else for being a SPG card holder, or is there a way for me to change the CC on file to SPG?

I'm new to this SPG business, so this might be a stupid question.

Is there any promotion that your referring regarding a 3rd free night? I think that your confusing SPG membership with the SPG credit card.

I don't know if these promos are applicable to priceline stays.

An SPG credit card and An SPG membership are 2 separate things. If your referring to a specific promotion it could be related to the former or the latter e.g. stay 3 nights get 1 free is associated to the latter, so if a promo is related to your SPG membership you don't necessarily need to use your SPG CC etc. (Although it makes sense to use it in SPG hotels). Additionally, Priceline usually doesn't qualify for any promotions.
