I got an email thanking me for subscrbing 5 hours ago. I totally forgot to cancel before 10 days were up. Anyone have any experience in this? I'd love to avoid the $45 charge(3 months at a shot).

Tell them u spoke a week ago with them to cancel and u dont know y it didnt cancel.........

happened to me.. tried the "called to cancel" shtick, but didn't work as they log every call... (they were able to give every detail, even the times I tried calling them, and no one answered)
I disputed it on the card, and got refunded... doubt amex even tried calling them..

When signing up use Citi virtual card with a amount & time limit so they can't charge you after trial is up.

Did you dispute the credit card? If no, why? If yes, what happened?

Most of us are successful just by begging them over the phone.

no reason to dispute a legit charge. which one of "us" was successfull begging fico to refund it?

They refunded it! just got of the phone with a supervisor, told him i couldn't cancel on friday or saturday bec. I have no internet access over the sabbath and that they were closed sunday when i called. He said no prob. he'll cancel it and refund my $15. (I also told him I'd be much more interested in his product when i finish traveling but for now they don't send enough email updates for it to be worth even the $10 a month he was willing to charge instead of $15), thanks y'all for the input

op said he forgot to cancell, based on that by calling you wastin your time, he never mentioned anything about the story told the rep. if he was looking for ideas of stories that they would believe and and then refund him he should of said so

$15 per month, but if you don't cancel before 10 days you're automatically signed up for 3 months... so broken down for the mathematically challenged that is 3 X$15 =$45

The rep canceled my subscription thereby avoiding the next 2 auto payments and refunded the 1st charge which had already posted. With good phone skills almost anything is possible I just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience, to be informed and prepared for the convo.
