Best Airline Card Avois?
« on: January 05, 2014, 05:08:08 PM »
Is the best card for flying the British Airlines Avios? I went to the post on dansdeals.com and even after following the instructions it still shows that a trip from NYC to MIA or ORL (through AA) is 30,000 points not the 9,000 that dans talks about being a short flight.
Please advise thank you.

I cant be this bad at this...
I logged into my account went to the side and chose "book with points", chose the same dates as you did, chose a departing and return flights and on the bottom in the journey summary it says 30,000 avios +10 (im doing this for 2 passengers)

For what you are doing, BA is probably best. Check SWA

NYC-Lax if you look around and read a but you will see that the best value for Avios is for domestic flights. From time to time there are sales (like the Iberia one now) that make great international redemptions, also booking through air Berlin can save you

I had the SW card but it just wasnt worth it for me to keep it with the annual fee (plus they werent so cheap) I just dont spend enough money to be able to fly more than just with the signup bonus' Right now i have the Sapphire Preferred, Freedom, and Marriott cards which are great because if i need i can always transfer points between the cards. so if i want cash back i put them all in the freedom etc.....
