How do you Sell Marriot Reward Certificates

I noticed many posters offering to sell Marriot free night certificates. I notice that when you make a reservation it must be in the owner of the certificates name so am wondering how one can go about selling them.

I have one for up to category 5 that expires 2/5/14 and would be interested in selling it. How would that work?

Also is the expiration date the date you need to stay by or only the date you need to reserve by

I think it's the date you need to book by.
